GUYS! TRAXXAS JUST DROPPED A NEW CAR!!!
What are y'all thinking? I think that this is gonna be another one of their cars that is a decent idea, but will sink since it isn't real popular. Who knows...

It's probably going to sell out as soon as it's released (If it hasn't been released yet) just as every other new car has. Its IMO a very niche rc, and with that comes a steep price. For 1300$, that's like 1/5 gasser price or an xmaxx that's 4wd, and you can get some upgrades for it for the same price as the 2wd buggy.

Ill see if it's in the Traxxas store yet. I'm down there, and now I'm curious... Can I get raw footage for RCT? It is in stores April 11, but some YT people like Mark Santana Maria have it up on their channels. When I was at the store not too long ago, I didn't see a single sign of it.

Go get some video!

I didn't see a single sign of it.
The rumors didn't get started posted on social media until this morning and then Traxxas released it at 1:00 EST

The reason is why big YT channels/names as MSM, RCDriver and Do RC get cars before they are announced or released is that they have time to review and then they publish the video as soon the car comes out, ie when the brand tells them to release it.

If you have 1300 bucks in your pocket and you live in the desert, go for it.
That should be their tag line for this one.

Don't get me wrong, it's cool as hell. But if I lived somewhere I could drive this thing in the way it's intended...I would put $1300 toward a 1:1 buggy instead of this. I just don't get it. I can't really see how the platform could evolve into anything else other than a large scale 2WD drifter or drag car. These companies choosing to cater to the whales instead of the average joe blows my mind. *cough cough Vanquish and their several thousand-dollar H10 Origin release.

I think it looks amazing, but I would have to drive several hours to get to the sand dunes. If you already have $1300 to drop on this, just save up a little more and build a HPI Baja 5B! Throw some sand tires on and it's a dune buggy, put some diggers like I have and it's a versatile machine!

Or, you could get a Rovan 5b which is the same just a copy, and then get all the aftermarket goodies for the HPI and throw them on there for cheaper!

Hell, my 4-wheeler could do the same stuff and it's worth maybe $1300. I could easily throw some sand tires on it... But its not going to get them...

Do you know how many mini crawlers I could buy with $1,300.00? And they work just fine in the sand, well in my case catbox. Bwaaahaaahaaa!

I think you need to be near a desert to make this rc worth $1300. It might be fun as a drag car too. I'm not even sure if this buggy would be fun on a football field. Maybe a couple of them on a track could be fun. 🤔
Thats a lot of scratch to be beating on 'just because'.
I prob just feel like theres other things $1300 could do for ME.
If YOU have $1300 and nothing else to spend it on, this rc could be a fun time. 👍

I really want some front brakes on my Vesla. Looking forward to see who adapts the brakes to other applications and how they do it. 🍿
Primal rc has them on 1/5. On the challenger it can actually line lock. 😆

I've always liked functioning rc brakes... Also the way the motor does it I just don't like, but that's really the only way on a slash or TRX-4. Yeah, with 1300, I could fix the 4wd on my 4-wheeler and still have money leftover to fix my rc's. But also, Traxxas x-series size are usually 1000 minimum. I'm honestly a little exited that there are more of them. I live in Colorado, and let me tell ya, that would be fun when we go to the great Sand dunes. Idk if they'd let me do it though. Also, that's a trip maybe once every 2 years.
