hi guys,

since i had my truck i have been 16% fuel through it

i was wondering if i could run any higher nitro content through it or is it too late ? i was thinking 20% maybe

i got a thundertiger ssk v1 with a pro .15 bxs p/start engine

thankyou nf123

Just remember, once you go higher you can't go lower. You can always keep going higher but you can't go back down cuz it messes with the carb when you go back down. Thats what all my local hobby shops around here say.

I'm still fairly new to nitro rc's, but I have not doubt that your LHS's are feeding you BS.
Ask them something for me. Ask them "Exactly HOW would going to a lower percent nitro "mess" with the carb?" I'd really love to hear the response to that.

going down in nitro wont mess with you carb.

i dunno who started this rumour but its not true, you will just have to re tune the engine when changing nitro content.

I dont know, but thats exactly what all 3 of my LHS's are telling me. I run 20% but i wanted to go to 30% for one race. They said you can't go back down because it messes with your engine. I had a feeling that it was BS but i still am looking into it. So dont make any assumptions that it will work.

hmmm why would a hobby shop say that?? they have you buying the more expensive fuel ...why would they want you to go and spend less :whip:
