Well my buddy I know had a Swift and he couldn't get the engine working and so he told me if I could start it, I could have it, well it runs and it runs great!! So now I'm going to be asking all sorts of questions when something goes wrong so sorry guys in advance. Where can i get parts off line and body's? If I was to get a clear one would I be able to send it to one of you guys and have it painted by someone who knows what there doing and what would be the price???? Thanks guys, Zachary.

Congrats!!!

There are many fine painters here....but a couple rattle cans and some tape and you can paint it up yourself.

Not sure on parts I would start at your LHS and then ebay next....

Good Luck

oh and i found out that is is a sho not a swift. they look almost the same.

that was lucky, lol. Swift's are really un-reliable and break extremly easily IMO.
Never heard of a sho before.

As already said my first stop for parts would always be a LHS. The bst thing you can do is find a local shop you like and only go there, build up a relationship with the owner and you'll eventually get discounts in that shop because the owner knows you have and will bring him/her more business and the discounts keep you going to that shop.
NOTE: the above only works with small shops.

cvds??

okay well i crashed it and nothing broke but the cvds and was wondering where to get some off line my lhs dont have them

can't your LHS order them?
if not my first stop would be ebay, then if nothing on there i would go to google and search for websites selling the part you need

whats a good non expensive engine for a buggy? would it be better to go with a 21, 25, or 28? I'm looking for the best engine for bashing it around the yard. the hpi nitro star blew on it on friday so now I'm looking for a new engine or i might just fix it. thanks.

Nice, A freebie :)

Is this it http://betterpainters.co.nz/swift.html

Its basically a RTR Swift Pro. IMO Good value for money, and you never had to pay for it.

The Mugen MBX5 shell fits perfectly if you needed one.

It states its a RTR pro but there are no ally lower suspension mounts front or back, no grub screw captured hinge pins, and there is no carbon diff brace???

Look to me like a rebranded Swift. With a few pro goodies (i can only see the pro shocks)

Yes the SHO is a Swift. Not a bad buggy IMO, when you got for free!!!!
As was said, Ebay. That will be your best source for parts, at least it would be in my area.

As for mills, most any .21-.31 will fit, the .28 sizes seem to run cheaper than a good .21 How much are you looking to spend? That will detrimine the best mill for the $$$. There are cheap ones out there, and there are cheap GOOD ones, but we need a actual $$ amount to help.

Just for bashing it is really hard to beat the price of an Axial .28 Spec 1. They are $129 at tower. Go to google and you can find 'em for less even. I think $119 is the lowest I have seen. They are an easy to tune engine for me pretty good power too.... I put around 4 1/2 gallons of 30% through one before a sand dune session and melted it down....not the engines fault they just don't like temps much over 375!...lol I would call it a "good" cheap engine IMO
