Hello all, I am having some trouble tuning my hpi rs4 3 evo+ And hoping you guys can help! To note this car has been ran in and ran around 4-5 tanks of fuel.

Ok, so the car sits in idle, fine, and when I give it throttle to pull away the engine cuts out. I can get around this issue by increasing my idle trim on the remote, until the car starts moving forward slightly, now I can pull away and drive the car about.

So I can drive about fine at low revs, but sometimes when I put full throttle the engine just stalls and cuts out! If I hold the car up and rev it, it won't cut out.

So I'm guessing it's an issue with HSP either being too rich or lean, I have both high speed and low speed needles at factory setting, and making slight changes in small increments BOTH ways, makes no difference.

I'm guessing I need to go to an extreme setting in some way but I'm scared to go way too rich or way too lean, incase I damage the engine or the needles I'm the carb.

Every car I see online seems to have the needles in quite far where as mine are flush with the carb.

Thanks

Also, idle needle is at factory setting.

Okay thanks I'll give that a read!, I also just noticed that fuel is coming out carb where air filter is...

You are apparently flooding, big time. Take out the glow plug, turn the car upside down and spin the starter to clear the cylinder.
Check the plug for a bright glow while it's out.
