I have a Duratrax streetforce GP and it is stock for now. What is a good way to build it into a fast yet affordable machine? I would like to get as much speed as possible. Where to start?

well for fastest you want the smallest spur gear with the largest clutch bell you can get! maybe a larger engine too.

yeah that is what i figured for the cheap way to start. i plan on that first. does anyone know what the best motor for top speed is in use with new gears?

WHOA those are big. but will they fit in a street car?

You WILL lose all ability to drive the car with one of those on there. Any big block with screw up the weight of the car, and the power will make it fast, if you could ever keep it in a straight line... Not to mention tire changes.

18 tz should really be your limit if you can even fit that. I know members have tried it here. I think Retarded Pilot has it right. If you drop in the 18TZ, your ride will be fast so long as you can put the power down to the wheels.
You will need to make sure your drive train can handle it. Then you will need to play with your suspension and change your tires. Foams will be ideal to use but they will go fast so be prepared to add that to your costs.

What am I trying to look for suspension wise? I am upgrading to integy shocks which are fully adjustable. For speed around the track what is the best way to setup your suspension?

also what are the pro/con of rubber vs. foam tires?
