I recently bought an old RC10Ls off of Ebay for 50$.Nothing special it's just a rolling chassis but it was almost brand new.I decided to do a speed project with it just for fun but I forgot that I don't know much about electrics:shhh: I have a Reedy Ti 10x2 with an IPC V7.1 ESC at the moment.I plan on running 10 3300 cells on it too.I've hit a little snag with the gearing though.I want to run a 96T spur and a 19T pinion but I don't have the clearance for the spur.I found these http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXS473&P=0
They are spacers designed for the car and they will move the rear axle/spur back about 1/16 of an inch. From there its just a matter of filing down the T-Bar and using low profile nuts to hold the T-bar in place.Hopefully I will get the clearance I need for the spur gear.
I was also thinking about scrapping the brushed setup for this http://www.hackerbrushless.com/cars/touring.shtml and running 12 cells instead.Let me what you guys think about this brushless setup because as I said i'm still new to electric.

I'm not expert at electronic either, I'm about to start my first season with 1/12th carpet racing, but are you sure the ESC will keep up with 12 cells?

The Hacker speed control will handle 12 cells but the IPC is only rated for 8.I've read articles about guys pushing the IPC with as much as 14 without any problems but I'm not going to risk it.I was thinking 8 cells if I keep the brushed setup.
