ok i got some of these supermaxx shocks and i do not know how to put them together. the instructions that came with them are way to confusing, can someone help a young rcer out! please :p:

instructions are ur friend. they arent that hard, just lay all the parts out on a table. then look carefully at the instructions.

I guess you never rebuilt shocks before.
If the instructions are confusing you, take apart one of the shocks you will be replacing, and use it as a guide. It's really not difficult once you see what it should look like inside. Then with the open shock in front of you and your instructions, do the first one. Once you do that one, the rest are no brainers. Shock oil makes a big difference in the dampening effect, so if it feels to slow, or too fast, change the oil. Since they are new shocks, you can dump the oil back into the bottles without contaminating anything.

Ofna makes them but, I believe UE does a mod to them to be used on Maxx's. I have 8 on my SuperMaxx and they are by far the best shocks I have and I have a ton!

I got a set of Ofna shocks for my Tmaxx. At $40 a pair, I didn't expect them to come as a kit, but I had to assemble them.
Last week I bought a used Ofna XXX NT, and I thought all 4 shocks were shot. I opened them up, and there was only ONE E-clip on each shaft, with the piston below it. That meant that the piston just floated on the shaft, instead of pushing through the oil. No doubt he sold it because it handled so poorly.
Just make sure the piston is locked in place BETWEEN the two E-clips. The rest is pretty basic.

Rolex... the xxxnt is made by losi and the supershocks don't use e-clips.

They aren't that hard to put together. Just read the instructions, and figure out what parts you need to build one, lay them all out and follow the instructions to assemble. I have 4 on my 21 maxx and I really like them. Although, they aren't unbreakable. I bent one last weekend. Granted, it was a WOT wipeout, and I ripped off an RPM arm, bent my titanium hinge pins and bent one shock shaft. It had about a 1mm crown in it.

also, can anyone tell me the length of the supermaxx shocks...man those look niiice!!! i am now running powerline and they suck!! i have totally ripped the bottoms out and ya anyways.....

thanks
