To me it looks like a HPI Savage but I'm sure I'm wrong. I'm not the brightest star in the sky.

A savage has a dual vertical-plate design or whatever it's called, this is more of a buggy chassis

Twin vertical plate. If it is name brand I'm guess Ofna or Hongnor maybe Thunder Tiger.A savage has a dual vertical-plate design or whatever it's called, this is more of a buggy chassis

Happens all the time i buy used cars and restore them and a few times it wasn't what they told me it was so you need to go detective.

Yeah I remember when I bought the Smartech Winner and the owner told me it was a carson, because it had the logo on it's exhaust. I kept believing him until someone told me here it was the SMT
. The owner was nice but probably didn't really do much with his nitros.

If you can take a picture with the shell off that frames the chassis in a side view and shows the side opposite the engine, it might provide more clues to the forum as to what it is. Basically like the last picture but from the other side & no body.

Savages all have twin vertical chassis plates. Thats got a pan tray chassis definitely not a Savage
The truck is a Power Racing (PRP) Katana ST. You might be able to find parts that will work with it from the Protech Enigma XTR, since they were pretty much the same.
Protech Enigma XTR: (Disclaimer: I had one and absolutely hated it, not that i like nitro all that much to begin with)
