My S-25 is ruined! Don't ask how.... long story.

Anyway, I'm looking to put a new engine on the savy. I don't want the stock one.

I strictly bash this truck, I don't race it. I just want something a little more powerful than stock, and very reliable/durable.

I want to spend around $200, I'd like it to be compatable with the roto-start, but it's not a must.

BTW: I also run rocket science 30%.

Input please.

... Also, With the recommended engine, please recommend a pipe.

How?

j/k, I would look at a Collari .30, supposed to be an insane engine and you can get it with rotostart already installed. I would put some sort of low end pipe on. A lot of people like the THS pipes.

If you want to spend a little less, take a look at the Wasp .28. I ran it with a CVEC pipe and it was amazing.

Well, if u want a engine that has more power than stock and is easy to tune and very reliable id go with the xtm 247 pro.
Its cheap, stock roto start fits, extremely easy to tune(i have not had to tune this motor for the past 5 races), Very reliable(i can always depend on it to start, even if the one way is slipping badly), runs very low temps, has a lot of power

I love this engine, i can do wheelies on the street on command at 220 degrees, with odonells 30%, .10 head shim(recommended if u plan to run 30%, longer life time of motor). And at 250-260 degrees, i can't keep the wheels from rising up on a tight track. Has awsome top end. Starts extremely engine, this is the motor i plan to run at some of the big races next year due to its reliability while having more than enough power for the track.

Glow plug: MC-59
Fuel: Odonells 30%
pipe: i have been running the stock plastic pipe, and have heard that a gh pipe will make this thing seem like its on steroids, i have one on backorder

XTM 247 PRO!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want one more powerful than stock, but reliable and easy to tune, I'd reccomend the sportwerks .26 or the Mach .26. They are not roto-start compatable, but they can be by putting a xtm 24.7 backplate on it. If you're interested in how to do this, let me know and I'll send you a tutorial.

thanks guys, but my LHS sold me another engine.

It's the Omega X3 .26. I've had a couple of these before and had nothing but good luck out of them.... so I bought that one. I paid about $150 for it.

I'm about to break it in.

I wasn't very fond of Omega carbs... but I bought the cheaper engines they made and have since discontinued. I've had 2 Omega 21 comp buggy engines. Pretty good power, lasted a long time, but the carb sucked. It would bind on me after about a half gallon was run through it and from 1/4 to 3/4 throttle was horrible regardless of tune. I hope you have better luck than I did with mine. Let us know how it works out for you.

dude i have to know.. how did you crater that motor that fast?? hell you didnt have 15 tanks on it!!

Lol, I was wondering too. I never heard much good stuff about Omega engines, but good luck with it.

wasp .28 and hpi ribbed pipe is what i use. great combo. If that omega 26 doesn't work out you should get a wasp.
