Can i get a list of everything I'm gonna need for the the xb8 buggy to get her going everything plz ty

Depends if you got the RTR, ARR, or the kit version.

This holds true for most buggies/trucks (mods, feel free to add to it, and cut-n-paste it to a general "what will I need" stickie).

RTR (this one you'll need the least for it);
12 AA batteries
Super Glue (for the tires)
Basic tools, like screw drivers, pliers, etc
Glow plug driver/ignitor
Plug wrench
A decent set of Allen wrenches
Thread lock (blue compound)
Oils (bearing oil, shock oil, etc)
Diff grease (1k, 3k, 5k, and 7k are good starting oils to have)
Fuel (%20 is a good starting fuel)

ARR (This one you'll need all above, plus the following)
Radio system
Optional; Rechargable RX battery and charger

Kit (This one you'll need the stuff for BOTH of the above, plus the stuff below)
Starterbox, if engine is non-pull-start
Engine
Exhaust header and pipe

Keep in mind, the body may come CLEAR and UNPAINTED, so you may need paints and body finishing tools (tapered ream, lexan scissors, etc). Pactra and Parma make the proper paints, availlable thru your vender of choice.

I may have missed a few things, but that's the basics of it.

It may sound like a lot, but in the end, you'll be glad you got them.

I may have missed a few things, so you may want to go to the makers' website and get a copy of the manual; usually they tell you what all you need in the first page or two.

Some buggy kits you will need tires as well. My MP777 did not come with servo horns either. The XB8 only comes as a kit HeartBreak, but yea you will need:

-.21 nonpull engine, I'm sure if pullstarts will fit in the XB8
-Starterbox
-Radio system
-2 Servos. High Torque for steering and high speed for throttle/brakes is the best way to go
-Exhaust system
-Tires (most likely)
-Paint for the body
-Tools for building, but the XB8 comes with some pretty good tools I believe.
-Other running equipment (glow starter, fuel, etc...)

I think thats about it.

The extended motor mount definately. Also, what setup are you planning on running? A lot of people swear by the longer softer arms. Our track is really bumpy, so I've added the composite rear brace instead of the aluminum brace. Helps the chassis flex in the rough stuff.

Ah, wasn't aware of that.. I'm a Mugen guy now (used to swear by my Storm till I got that MBX5ps... now, the storm is a box-princess).

I also forgot about the tires not coming with some kits... Some kits don't include fluids or bodies either. (or rims, for that matter...)

Yea, the MP777 SP1 was the first kit I got that included fluids. I think the XB8 does but I am not sure. Most come with bodies and wheels, but no tires. Threadlock is a big one, DO NOT build a kit with out threadlocking EVERY metal to metal part, even if it doesn't say so in the manual. Like 5 things have come apart on my MP777 cause I didn't have threadlock for most of the build.

You would have to ask plaidfish or someone else who runs teh XB8 about the little things like servo horns. Usually the servos you buy will come with ones that will work.

Plaid will chime in on this in the AM and he'll let you know what comes/dosn't come with the xb8 since thats what he runs.

Corrado also runs the XB8. I saw it run at the bash and needless to say ... it is a sweet ride.

Battery charger, Blue lock-tite, "NOT ALOT" and Radio. You will love the XB8, I know I love mine. I would check out the X-ray Web page, and browse through some of the set-up sheets before you start your build. The set-up they give you in the directions is not that great. They give you diff fluid but you may want to go with a different weight. Definatly don't use the o-rings on the spider gears. It is a very fun build, it was my first, the instructions are awesome. Good luck, the only thing I had a hard time with was shimming the clutch and getting the clutch springs on, untill I bought the sportwerks clutch spring tool. Also the white shock springs seem to be the hot set-up. Here is a picture of mine I hope this works its the first time I tried a picture.

The kit does come with servo horns. It comes with diff fluid too, but I don't know what the weight is. Like what was mentioned earlier, check out the X-ray forum and get a setup in mind before the build. That way you can just set it up and not have to take it apart to change out a bushing or change a roll center or something. I didn't even pay attention to the stock setup when I built mine, I used a setup one of the team drivers made for the track that I race on. It'll go together really smooth. I would suggest getting some Mugen diff oil, and a shock oil that you're familiar with, I prefer Losi.

you need radio (Tx,RX,Servos,Batt pack)/ non pull Engine/ tires/ Paint/ pipe/ loctite.....it comes w/ a nice set of hudy tools to use.....it has servo horns.....has diff oil (5-7-2-1 I believe) and shock oils (40 & 45???).....other than that.....I'd suggest upper front arm assembly for spares and replace the front torque brace w/ either the composite or CnC brace......I use the CnC one since most of the tracks I play on are fairly smooth.....awsome buggy......slap an RG w/ .063 or JP-1 pipe in it to get used to it if you've never had an 1/8 scale....they are WAY faster and more responsive than any other off road RC.....

and Vgibbens has the right idea, check the Xray forum for set ups....you'll cut your build time in half...the buggy has every friggin adjustment you can think of and it still takes a pounding....
