I know this is BS to all of you with out pics, but i dont have a digi cam. NEwayz, I just put a HPI .21 bb in my nitro rs4 mini. Very simple procedure. I just modified the ofna mouts to fit my rs4 and drilled holes.

I got a broken 2speed shaft right now, but when I get a new one I will post results.

tite, hope everything works out for you :winnar: you should go for a picco .26 now! ;)

Yea, its the 21bb you sold me. I have the tallest gears I can find. I am going to upgrad to the rs4 3 clutch bell and get even taller gears. Ill have my 2-speed shaft tommorow hopefully. Ill let you guys know what I break.

and I plan on going with a wasp .26 ;)

and thanx again for that engine. Both of them infact. Both run real good and hold a tune with no problem.

NooP I'd be real interested to know your results. I am going to think that a 21 should be way more than enough for even the little car. TRDstreetfighter ran a 26 in his RS4SS I think and did not like the results. It was either that or in his super nitro. He pulled it out. Cool project though.

Hey Noop...ya did it huh...sweet. Can't wait to hear how she works out for ya bro. All you need now is a custom 3-speed that doesn't' suck and you should be running with Schumacher's.

I would highly reco AGAINST the use of a Picco.26/Wasp .26 as your car my fly off the ground and flip over when it hits second gear..hehe.

I got ideas for the 3-speed already. Only problem is I think EVERYTHING will be custom. Everything including clutchbell, gears, and a 3-speed shaft. Thats the bad news about it. The good part is, one of my customers happen to own a cnc shop and told me everything was completely do-able. But that will be a much later project.

That would be SWEET! I really need to get a digi cam.

Just ran it and I didnt break a thing. I was very suprised that I didnt.

Accelerates like f*cking crazy. I didnt have enough room to really let the car stretch its legs, but hopefully I will tommorow.

If any of you have an rs4 and a big block lying around, give this a try. When I get a hold of a digi cam, I will wright a tutorial. All you need is:
nitro rs4
big block engine
ofna engine mounts. 5 bucks on ebay
tools.

You know, after reading your post, I started to actually consider getting a super nitro rs4 and doing a .21 conversion and make it a basher....too bad i'm broke :(

I could just do a .21 conversion on my ntc3 :) ...expecially since I decided to keep it and not sell it.

Either would be cool. I see a lot of super nitro rs4 rolling chassi's going for sale on ebay. Usually around 50.

Big Block in Rs-4

Wolfpack Radicals sells a 21 conversion kit for the rs-4 super nitro and a pivot ball suspension conversion kit for the snr too!!

i've got a RS4 that i did a .21 coversion on about 2 years ago i went with an Ofna Picco .21 and the wolfpack conversion kit i also have a thicker milled aluminum chassis i mounted a fuel tank off a mp7.5 buggy i also put the tallest gears i could get for it the 20/37 witch gives it a therorical max speed of 69 mph... the only problem i have with the car is exsessive wear on the drivetrain components specificly the rear dogbones, i tend to twist them in half at least every other time i run the thing.. does anybody know if the mip cvds will hold up to the power?

i am thinking aobut making a car from basicly scratch and use a trx2.5 i think its gonna be somewhere between 1/18 and 1/10 scale--as small as i can make it and still have room for engine and electronics. but i gotta save some money up for the electronics...and alot of parts/

Noop,
From all the basic questions you ask on this forum, it seems like you have been into nitro less than a month. I don't believe you have the ability or skill to install a .21 into your RS-4. In addition you actually said, "Very simple procedure." I feel it could be done, but not by you, at least not at this point in your "nitro R/C experience". I do feel it is "BS" without photos of the installation procedure. Even so, I still believe you don't have (as yet) the knowledge or experience to do that engine installation. If I do see photos, it probably is someone else's ability that actually did it and you are taking credit for it.

Isnt there a damn kit that comes with everythign you need to just bolt it in. If thats the case as I've been told there is, then it would be easy. Noop has been a pretty good guy around the board, atleast from what I've seen. Asking questions is part of this place. Maybe it was his first time to a certin problem that he had never encountered. I have no idea how to rebuild shock and am prolly gonna be searching later for shock oil refill steps and such, but I can take a motor completely apart and put it back together, i can port sleeves but yet I'll be asking newbie questions. I really think your acting like an ass. I mean your its your right to not think without any pics, but to go about challenging his r/c is just fiddlesticking dumb. Untill you have been in the field with this guy, don't say a word.

Hey NooP, I'm sure one of your friends has a digital camera. Borrow that thing for a few minutes....I wan't to see some pics of that beast!
