so i ordered the hpi rs4-3 from tower for 235.00....seems like the lowest around. wish me luck and thanks forall the help.

I'm sure i'll still need oodles of help:thumbup:

well you sure made a quick decision. i hope you enjoy it when it comes. by the way, the rs4-3 is rtr right? so you only paid 235 for the whole package? thats sweet.

i just checked tower- all the rs4-3's are 270 except for the camaro and stratus. i wonder why. so which one did you get?
i dont wanna look at that anymore because for that price i might go crazy and order one lol.

i got the camaro and that was the only way i was getting a second car...if it was so great a price. for me i think it will be simple and straight forward andif i f-it up, which i'm sure i will. It only set me back 235 and there are a ton of parts avaliable.

woooohooo:whip: I'm ready for it to be here

Congrats, I own one and its a blast to drive. Its fast enough to hold its own in a parking lot race. It can do mad donuts if you got the engine tuned out right and the tires warmed up. A 2spd would be first to come in to get some speed. The engine is VERY reliable and will run any time and any where. Just make sure you break-in properly. Or maybe shove that sirio in for some extra speed.

I have a RS4 3 also, and I really like mine. And as Silent mentioned the engine is very reliable. As long as you take the time to break it in properly, it should perform well for you. I have mine for about 1 1/2 years, I lost track of how much fuel I have run through it, and it is still running great. I have added the two speed tranny, THS pipe, and put an OS carb on the engine. The carb is a definate weak point of thr RTR 3, it only has one needle so you have to compromise your setting, this was my only real complaint with the car. But one that was easily rectified with a new carb. You got a GREAT price on it! Good luck with it.

good choice,I have the ss version, and I just bought the rtr version for my wife, good strong reliable cars:worship:

what enigne would be better with the rs4 rtr3 THE engine that comes with the rs4ss wich is the .12ss or the os.12 cv-r engine if u already had a two speed on the rs4

The O.S. Carbs seem to make the O.S. engines perform how they...well perform. Most people stick O.S. Carbs on their engines and they tune like nothing before it.

it just got delivered and I'm setting her up!!!!!!!!!

gotta calm down or i wont break her in properly

woohooo super quick delivery from tower....1 day

Congrats!!! I have the RS4-3 Stratus. I haven't done a lot to it yet. Added a bigger header (from my Maxx) and added the 2-speed. That 2-speed really makes a difference. If you have the $$ I say get it. The car is a blast and with a little work can be hooked up pretty well...

congrat!! enjoy that thing. All I gots to say is doughnuts and drifting. have fun wit dat yo.

Damn, i've had my rs4 3 type ss since near the beginning of the year, but my dad and i just can't get it to run right.

My exhaust header screws came loose, one came out of the car onto my driveway and i didn't find it for a week. locktite all screws when you put it together.
