HAHA i just went and got 2 savages for 100 bucks. One runs and one is for parts but it has everything but a motor. the best part is one is a X. Its got integy shocks and a axial motor. Its also got an extra motor but its locked up. Its got all aluminum arms all around, and a tons of other aluminum. Does the X have a 3 speed tranny? Thanks

I love success stories! Congrats!! :D
"it features an adjustable 2 speed transmission"

If your planning on using it as a basher, get rid of the integy shocks, and aluminum arms ASAP.

+1 on getting rid of the Integy shocks and aluminum arms. I'd suggest replacing the aluminum arms with a set of arms by RPM. RPM makes some of the sturdiest arms on the market and have a lifetime warranty and great customer support.

I'm not going to take anything off until it breaks haha. I'm sure it will break in the spring haha. That's going to be my beater truck.

If it is Integy, especially their shocks, it is bad news. I know about their shocks from personal experience. They look good but bend or break easily.

You'd be smart to get rid of the integy junk before it's thrashed. You could probably get enough dough out of the aluminum parts to buy useful parts that won't fail on ya.

Ya that's true. I got a blown up motor with it, I started looking at it and its a picco 27. Is it worth rebuilding, theirs sand and dust in the cylinder.
Thanks
