I might be wrong, but I seem to remember reading about gout many years ago, and most of the time it can be controlled by diet. I think it had something to do with wealthy royalty centuries ago, and their constant eating of rich foods, where almost anyone who was wealthy also had gout.

Rolex, you are correct. It can be controlled by diet but the body sometimes builds it up in little deposits and even just a misstep can trigger it. I think that's what happened this time.

This was also called "The Rich Man's Disease" because it was the wealthy that usually got it. BTW, beer is bad for gout as well

Gout Sucks. Your lucky it only lasts a week for you. I know a guy that gets it for weeks on end.

doc said at least a week since this is a bad attack. Things are getting better. I can actualy walk with one crutch now, but slowly. the slightest slip and I'm screaming. Makes me want to cut off the foot but then how would I drive to the races? Damned if you do, damned if you don't ....

make titanium bullet-proof prostetics (i think thats what theyre called) and have everybody from rcnt tag up on them.
