The title says it I ran away from me I steering control but absolutly no throotle control. It acted like I was not close enough to the truck but then when I hit the throotle it took like normal. When I went to hit the brake though it didn't response. So I knew it was to be a bad out come so I choose either get smaked by a car or hit the curb I choose option two. My question is though why did it run away it has brand new batteries and no one in my area has another one of these. I have been lately though having problems with my carb sticking; when it opens up it really rough like it catches and then lets go. Also when I let of it crabs about half way open. I don't know what to do can someone help me.:\

any time you have binding in the throttle linkage or carb. DONT RUN IT! figure out the problem first. that is probably what happend. your carb stuck. but now instead of just taking the barrel out and cleaning it. you have to repair the curb damage as well.

pics?? we love carnage, more so when it isnt ours!

The only bad thing is I picked the wrong side to run into the curb I allready have replacement a-arms for the other side.

So I was wondering with hiting the curb do you think it hurt the shocks any they don't look bent but looks can be decieving.

Sorry by the time you told me to get pics. my mom had left on a trip with the camera and it is allready fixed, but anyways it did it again and I now know what it is. Electronics. I know this because when it did it everything locked and stayed where it was when it happened, lucky this time there was a tire about 5 ft in front of me to hit. I think its the battery cable I don't know post what you all think.:\

Well last night I got to work on mine after working on the evader; and I found nothing to be wrong, no cut wires, no nothing. There was tho a little sand in the reciever could that be doing that? Anyways to night I was busy with sports and what not so tomorrow I will try to get out and drive it.

Make sure the throttle servo isn't over-extending the linkage pivot. This will cause it to bind and leave you stuck wide open

Insanity= Trying something over and over again that doesn't work.

Do yourself a favor and figure out the problem. I can't stand to see an innocent vehicle get tortured. Remember to check anything throttle related you may have messed with recently. To be safe, with the throttle trim set to neutral and with the horn in the proper position, the carb slide should just BARELY open all the way. Adjust brakes accordingly.

What do you mean over-extending the pivot linkage?

I mean just what I said. Turn your radio gear on and hold it full throttle. If you put a little pressure on the linkage, the same direction as the servo moves to open it, and it pops over and sticks, you need to adjust it. If it's happening, it's obvious.

The opening of the carb is smooth but like I said when it closes it sticks at about half throttle.

My bad, dude. Maybe check to see if the ball where the linkage hooks up didn't come loose. Can't think of anything else, really. Maybe the carb slide is wore out or grooved(same thing I guess) and is sticking. Carbs are pretty cheap. If all else fails, get a new one.

Ya I figured it down to two problems; either my reciever or my radio. I think its these because it happened to me a again and I got it close to me to do it and I tryed to turn the wheels or put it in reverse and nothing happened I had no control. With my carberator sticking I know its not that because I picked it up and gave it gas and it slid perfectly with no catching.

Okay well I got out and ran the t-maxx today with another remote and found out it wasn't my remote cause the electronics to completely stop. So my next action will be a new reciever; when I get that and put it on I will let you all know how it went.

I got my new reciever put it on a fired her up and she ran fine. It never locked up never nothing it ran like a champ so I got it fixed.

Okay so it did it again so now I am going to replace the battery pack and if that don't do it I don't know what I am going to do.
