i done me a little tradin around and came up with four new to me rigs... two traxxas e maxx trucks with twin titan motors... a redcat racing rockslide rock crawler... and a traxxas rustler stadium truck, i have to get a new esc and front wheels and tires for it to be ready... i will post pics later of them all.

i do have a few questions about the e maxx trucks and the electronics that are in them... they both have orange esc's that are model number 3104 and say powered by novak on them... are these brushless and lipo capable? and is it possible to put dual brushless motors on the two speed tranny's on them without gutting all the gears?

and i have been having hard time locating a front set of RPM revolvers in black wrapped with proline road hawgs for the rustler, i can find them seperated but was hoping to find them together to save on shipping.

the emaxx trucks are nice! plenty of low end power in first gear and fast enough for me in second gear at this point... i do look forward to taking them to the farm at my in laws and really letting loose. i wanna get some 5000 mah batts for em for sure.... well i am starting to ramble so i will go and get pics of everything to post up for you all. :first_place:

Congrats on the new rigs. Take a pic of the ESC. It is sensored brushless compatible however it may or may not have an LVC wired in. You can still use lipos without an LVC but you have to be extremely carefully to not over-discharge them.

here are the pics!!!
here is the esc on the emaxx trucks

Those look they are brushed only ESCs. In order to run a brushless motor, you would have to purchase a new ESC for your truck.

Hamz is correct, the ESC on your emaxx is a brushed unit. The model is 3014, not 3104 as you originally posted. Novak does make a 3104 brushless ESC for their HV line of brushless systems.

i transposed the model number from the esc, sorry lol... i found the esc can handle a 19 turn motor but was unable to determine if it was brushless compatable or not. i also think i will need to upgrade the tranny from the brushless emaxx with the two speed option i fi deccide to go brushless. thanks for the info guys!

By the time you upgrade the drivetrain, tranny and esc/motor, you'll have spent 2/3 of what it cost to buy a New E Maxx. Find some 20-23t 550 motors and run some 4600 intellect packs and you'll have a punchy Mt that will run for almost a half an hour per charge. The best upgrade you can make to an old E Maxx is to the slipper. Go with a Robinson or the newer Trx set up and your diffs and shafts will thank you. 3.3 tires/rims and the stock gearing are a great all around combo. One of the best things about the short wheel base Maxx's is all the bodies available.
