I bought a Tmaxx off of ebay It has a OS cvx .15 pullstart. It has RPM A-Arms shock towers, front bumper and center skid. Has aluminum front and rear skids. But my question is do most Tmaxx's come with this engine or is this a upgrade??? And does anyone know if this engine is any good? I want some power!!

Congratulations and welcome to the world of nitro Monster Trucks.

That is not a stock engine, and yes it is a good one.

You may find that you do not like the aluminum skids for front and rear. After bashing them up a couple of times and having to remove them to rebend them to their proper shape, they get to be a pain.

Save some change and get some Titanium ones or move back towards some stock plastic ones. Either way I recommend ditching the aluminum front and rear skid plates.

BTW what happened to your friends 21 Maxx that he was going to sell you for $250? Was this one a better deal, because that one sounded like a better T-Maxx.

Is the engine new or used? Congratulations btw, I hope you have lots-o-fun with your OS powered T-Maxxer.

Nice signature image, KK. When did you change it from the lead singer of Korn?

Congrats on the truck purchase!

The OS is a great engine. I am using the same engine in one of my maxxes right now. They are easy to tune, and hold a tune very well.

I agree also with Sky on the aluminum skids, ditch em for titanium or stock.

Nice truck, hope you have fun with it! I've mentioned it before, might want to convert the stock .15 to another engine soon, how much conversoin would an OS .15 CVX take, or a Hyper 21 8port? I'm trying to find one that doesn't need much of a conversoin.

While on this subject, the stock .15 has a side exhaust with a straight "L" shaped manifold going to the tuned pipe, if I changed ith with a "C" shaped tube pipe, would that make any difference and would it be a good idea?

I say RPM skids are the best band for the buck. You can get a three pack here for less than 18 bucks. :) That includes the front and rear, and a center to protect the tranny from grime :)

As for a .21 I don't see the need really, unless you need the horsepower. My friends .15 powered max runs damned well against the 21's, sometimes he can beat them. :)

if you wanna .21 powerd car go with an 1/8 scale.... if you want the maxx to have one better have $$$
