i don't understand why my 3.3 will run strong as long as i hold it wide open from the get go.....but quit as soon as i let off....i have tuned it till I'm blue in the face....i cleaned the carb and inspected and sealed the engine....don't know what the problem is...don't really care anymore....lol

also....can anyone recommend a direct replacement engine that has a decent rap and is on the cheap side...and isn't a 3.3

Does it completely shut down when you pull out of the throttle or just get boggy?

Maybe with a little more troubleshooting from us, we can help you figure it out.

That said, the dynamite 19 is a drop in. Isn't necessarily better than the 3.3, but different altogether manufacturer, dynamite. IME, they make pretty reliable engines. Not the longest lasting, but average 5-6 well maintained gallons before a pinch is needed.
