Hope all goes well with the procedure. I'm sending positive energy and healing thoughts your way.

I'm sorry to hear about your husbands' heart condition, Grrlracer. The upside is they caught it in time. I'll definitely keep you and your husband in my thoughts.

I know it's hard on him and I'm sure he is scared but IMO you have the harder part.......I would rather have it happen to me rather than have to watch my wife go through it.

Best wishes to you and your husband!

thats EXACTLY how i feel SMaxxin.

I am very sorry to here about your husband, but like it has been said with todays techknowledgy all should go well, I will keep you and your husband in my thoughts, It's scary how it seems to be hitting people younger and younger my younger brother who is 34 has already had bypass surgery and has a pase maker defibulater about the size of credit card that sits just under his skin and keeps every thing in balance, I am sure as young as he is he will make a full swift recovery.

Grrlracer, got your PM and will be praying for you and your husband. Keep positive thoughts. You have adopted a huge family here..so we willl be here for you!

Grrlracer, I do wish all the best for you and your husband.
My father had a triple bypass last year. To be very honest, the road to recovery isn't easy. It's odd. Beforehand, with blocked arteries, he felt ok. A bit easily fatigued, but not debilitating. Afterward, with his bloodflow restored, he was very weak for a long time. He had to go through consistent physical therapy to re-strengthen the muscles in his heart and to get his endurance back up. Just be patient. It will take some time for him to get back on his feet and back to a more normal level of activity.
But in the end, after you have gone through all that, he will be much better off. After a year of rehab, my dad (who just turned 70) just doesn't stop for anything. He is out on the golf course 3 times a week. And he's constantly working around the house. It seems he always has some project brewing in his woodshop or the garage. He's building a new computer desk (from scratch) for my stepmom. And he's always fixing lawnmowers or snowthrowers or whatever other stuff the neighbors bring around. For as much as it's a scary notion right now, at this stage I have more confidence and security in my dad's health than 5 years ago.

Glad to know you are able to get some comfort from here, it helps to know you have support, even if it's only online. It's still support.

And your hubby is looking at this with a great attitude, finding all the positives, like spending time with you, that's the sweetest thing!

Of course that means he'll want to play with your toys...... ;)

Everyone here seems wonderful, and keep talking through it. Share it with your hubby, too, so he knows you have a bunch of rc nuts on your side.
