Well my buddy who races nitro all over and has a 20 foot long trailer to carry all his stuff around. Anyways it was raining pretty hard and he told me not to run my t maxx in the rain. So I wait for it to stop raining and like a dumb a$$ I took it out and it starts raining again. Well I have sucked water through my air filter and hydro locked it. Took the engine apart and yellow water comes out. So now I have to smooth the head out and clean everything up real good. So watch the water!

But now guys I cleaned my engine and everything, but my cord stays out when I re-mount it to the chassie and tighten it back down . But when it is not on the chassie it pulls out and re winds everytime, I have re stung it twice it only does it whem I put on the truck. HELP guys ...thanks

Sounds like you have gummed up your OWB on the starter shaft. Or, when putting the engine back together, you put the OWB on backwards, which means, it's gripping on the starter shaft when it should be spinning.

Easy to do. I've done it on accident a few times over the years. Some OWB's look very similar on both ends.

the one I have is internal. But, it would still pull fine when its not mounted?

Yes. Pull the starter housing and try to spin the shaft with your fingers. It should spin one way freely and the other way will turn the engine over.

The internal ones typically can't be put in wrong. The OWB's that go on the outside of the backplate are the ones that can be put on backwards.

So what will happen if its bad? Sorry its got me all confused.

I got ya, thanks

I had a spare owb and I think I got it for a traxxas 2.5 , but it was the same anyway. Does that sound right a Traxxas 2.5 owb the same? I have a picco p2 .21 you have or had one didnt you,olds97?? I had to heat up the engine a bit to get the owb out, But its screaming again. Where do you get parts, that owb threw me.

but now my truck cuts out when I get going a decent speed, kinda like its not getting any gas why is this LSN
