I got mine....
My new MGT showed up last night..... I pulled the fake piggy backs off it, and installed a new set of HB threaded aluminum shocks, using the stock MGT shock spring retainers, and stock springs
I really like the way the shocks are attatched to the shock towers.... The upper shock mounts have screws that go through the shock power, that slide all the way through.... no need to wear yourself out threading them all the way through, and to change shock oils, you don't have to remove the engine or fuel tank like on the T Maxx.
The lower shock mounts are captured....( nice. )
The battery/reciever/servo tray is really nice..... A total of 6 screws, and the entire radio system comes out in one piece for safe easy cleaning of the chassis!!! That ROCKS!
The INLINE PRIMER BULB ROCKS!
I like how the engine sets in the chassis, and the factory drill start/pull start ROCKS!
The Pivoting front body mount, and the single quick release rear body mount system allows instant easy access to ALL 3 Carb adjustments.... That also ROCKS!
Spur Gear replacements, and slipper clutch adjustments are made easiely by removing the BODY... Thats IT.... Unlike the T MAXX where you have to take the whole truck apart.....
The exhaust system is aimed right at the ground, and the truck doesn't get all oiled down underneath and down the side like a T MAXX!!!
Factory METAL GEAR STEERING SERVO???? 2055 what??? (Junk)
Reverse that actually WORKS? T MAXX WHAT?
Aluminum A Arm mounts, instead of plastic bulk heads that rip out and require the entire front end to be dismantled for replacement??? SWEET!
All Metal CVD drive and axle shafts???? out of the box?
All metal gears in the trans except for low and high gear on the 2 speed????
Folks, I ran my highly modifeid 2.5 race truck against a DEAD STOCK MGT the other day, and the MGT made the T Maxx look like a cheap toy from RADIO SHACK. The GT hung right with my 2.5 truck off roading, and after we bashed it all day, we found the trim level on the radio wasn't allowing WOT on the MGT!!!
You can buy a new T Maxx, and spend $500 on it, and still NOT HAVE 1/2 the truck you get out of the box with the new MGT!
All this from a DIE HARD T MAXX GUY who has HAD OVER 20 T MAXX TRUCKS. No more T Maxxes for me folks... I have seen the light.:OMG:
