Just thought I'd throw out a thread that I finally broke something on my savage.

I busted the upright (i think that's what it's called) on my rear wheel. It's the little part that the turnbuckle bolts too out by the tire. Busted the little arm off that bolts directly to the turnbuckle. I have lunsford turnbuckles and they are obviously very strong, but unforgiving.

I also bent my roll bar. I saw other peoples pics of a mangled roll bar and wondered how they did it... now I now. I guess an 6 foot drop at about 30MPH bends it pretty damn good.

Sorry, no pics. I fixed it and forgot to take any.

One of the cool things about the savage is that a lot of the parts can be flipped over and re-used. That's what I did with the upright. I swapped the one off the other side of the truck to replace the one I busted, but the broken one works fine on the other side. (stupid t-maxx)

The title caught my eye lol...

anyway, it took me a while to break a part on my savage. Ended up breaking a lower suspension arm after a few hugeass jumps :D

yup thats the only part that breaks on me constantly besides the spur gear!!! lol but yea get those in aluminum their expensive like 79.99 from hpi for 2!!! so buy them off ebay! get the lundsford kit the all around kit its worth the money!

lol I'm not looking foreward 2 breaking my savage but i have a feeling its gonna happen this weekend

I've been bashing mine for 3 months and about 2.5 gallons of fuel. The problems I've had weren't because of HPI, just engine/exhaust/aftermarket shock problems. None of which were or are currently stock.

lol...that is not the first time that has happened to that truck. :D

Glad to hear that you are enjoying it.

Welcome to the club. Where in dekalb did you manage this evasive driving, eh?

btw, YGPM

Never noticed this post! Weird.

Anyway, I broke it out at the refinery we were at when you realized you lost your air filter. I actually ran into the owner out there. After a few sheepish grins and some chit chat, I have permission to be there... as long as I don't bring 14 friends and absolutly no kids.

He said it was cool for me to be there on sundays when they are closed and trucks aren't around. So that's where I've been spending most of my time.

haha i think the first thing i broke was a one way. i had no idea what it was and that it was so popular to brake what mine stripped.
