Just thought I'd throw out a thread that I finally broke something on my savage.
I busted the upright (i think that's what it's called) on my rear wheel. It's the little part that the turnbuckle bolts too out by the tire. Busted the little arm off that bolts directly to the turnbuckle. I have lunsford turnbuckles and they are obviously very strong, but unforgiving.
I also bent my roll bar. I saw other peoples pics of a mangled roll bar and wondered how they did it... now I now. I guess an 6 foot drop at about 30MPH bends it pretty damn good.
Sorry, no pics. I fixed it and forgot to take any.
One of the cool things about the savage is that a lot of the parts can be flipped over and re-used. That's what I did with the upright. I swapped the one off the other side of the truck to replace the one I busted, but the broken one works fine on the other side. (stupid t-maxx)
