So I just got my latest package from Amain and in it is a pair of Hyperian Losi balance boards. Now what surprised me right away is that the smallest plug has 4 leads on it, but the leads on my 2C packs only have 3. The print on the board says 2-3S Series so I was thinking maybe I just plug it into either the left or right most 3 prongs. Is that correct? Does it matter if I go left or right?

Yep, that's the one Rob. You can't see from the angle in that pic but the top right port has 4 prongs. The plug on my packs are only 3. Yes, Losi packs :)

Well, I think this is not the proper item I need. I'm just gonna call Amain and see if they can help me cuz I cannot figure out what I need to balance charge these Losi packs.

It has 4 prongs because that port will balance 2S or 3S packs.

2S has 3 wires
3S has 4 wires

I have that very same balance board.

I realized it's not the right board for my charger. It's for 720i ONLY. I goofed there. Now I have the right boards on order. 2nd day UPS or I don't race on Sat. Grrrr..

I got the correct boards, made by Protek. For the record and for anybody else who may need to know. You need to plug the pack into the outermost end of the 2-3S input. If you plug it into the innermost side the charger sees it as a 3S pack and won't charge because it sees an open circuit. Also, one will need to trim the packs balance plug on the one side so it fits into the boards' input.

Josh, can you post up a pic of the Losi board. will it work with the duo? i've been using an astro blinky to balance my packs...but this will make things easier.

Gabe, this is what I purchased for my 0606i's. The only thing I don't like about it is that the ports are not labeled like the Hyperion brand boards.

Almost a direct fit. The ports are definitely made for the Losi balance plugs but in order to get a 2S plug to fit into the proper port I needed to trim one of the little plug "guides" on one side because it's supposed to go into the same port as a 3S plug, it just needs to be plugged into the outermost 3 prongs of the 4 that are in the port. That's pretty small to take a picture of or I would.

Like I said, the board is bare with no reference but I believe the ports would be labeled as such...
