hyper 8 needle help

if u got a hyper 8 that was already broken in, but all ur needles were fiddled with and thus u had no reference points. can i get some help. i'm tryin 2 get close, but i'd like 2 put this out there.

all the needles, idle, both sides of the slide carb and the main needle.

you should be able to set the lsn to just flush w/ the barrel that it screws into, so when you look down on the engine it looks flush. If you have a midrange needle make sure it is set flush also. As far as the hsn, start with 3 1/2 to 4 turns out. Pull the air filter off and make sure that you have an opening about the thickness of a credit card for your idle setting. she should fire right up. then you can fine tune from there. hope this helps!

i'm close w/it all now. gettin linkages right 1st was the primary issue even b4 b'g able 2 tweak needles. now that i have good filtration and maybe gettin a different pipe (i dont like this stock hyper pipe, seems 2 slip in the coupler alot)...and the fact that every1 at my track/club says 2 ditch the quart of trinity fuel i have and run somethin else instead

loox like i'll have 2 start from scratch again. b/c b4 i had the highend set pretty close, but the lowend was fat b/c the car would 'think about it' when i let it rip, then cleared up and went.

oh well....tinkerin is fun and i'm enjoyin it. thats what i wanted. nowhere near as hardcore about this stuff like when i was younger.

For the pipe, take a hose clamp to tie it there, it won't come off anymore!
