Here's the deal;
Want to get into racing without totally blowing out the wallet so I'm looking at this setup.
Hyper 7 PCR Pro
Novarossi 21 Top P5
Jammin JP-1 or JP-2 depending on the course
not sure yet on servos but I'll be using my current TX and RX
Fail Safe of course.

The Q is will this be competitive at a club level while I'm learning?
If you have a better suggestion I'd be happy to hear it but this is pretty much at the upper limit of the budget, so no Prospec for me!

I think you would do fine with that. I'm running a hyper 7 pcr that was rtr and i've changed a few things and I can consistantly keep up if not get ahead of my buddy with a rb modded c5 in his prospec. While your just learning You will do well with the pcr pro. What are you going to spend on the pcr pro because you can get the TTR S3 for about 450 dependin on where you look that is another good buggy to look at.

Right about the same. The swaying factor for me is parts availability, the lhs carries a shload of parts for Ofna. I'd race the Mayhem if I could get parts for it.

I think that's what's going to be the final decider, I have a Mayhem and when I went looking for parts most everything I was looking for was due mid June. Okay for my basher but won't do on my racing rig.

Nice... I'm getting a Hyper 7 PCR for my racing also. AQnd we have almost the same setup. Novarossi with a JP pipe.

Good deal, we'll have to pass tips back and forth on what works and doesn't once we get to setting them up. I'm looking forward to getting into the competitive side of the hobby.
