I dont know how much this will help anyone.. We had a terrible time with the Hyper 8p today.. I went to the Ofna forum and one of the moderators had done some testing on the factory carbs for the hyper 8p.. His conclusion was that the Carb is horrible and competely unreliable!! (RobH) had mentioned the O.S. carb (20e) in an earlier post and that appears to be the only long term solution... However the ofna guy mentioned that if you seal the rubber boot covering the throttle arm on both ends You will see a noticeable improvement.. Reason being that the fit between the Barrell and the Carb body is no where near precise enough and allows air to come in and screw up your mixture.. every time you apply throttle you inadvertently change the amount of air getting in.. Again.. sounds like a short term answer but at $65 for a O.S. carb.. We are going to try it!! Hope this can be of some help.. I'll let you know what kinda luck we have with this.. Peace!!

I too have noticed some air leakage on the carb and suspected the area around the throttle arm. Why? because the little boot seemed to be filling with air like an accordian for some reason during throttle movement. Thanks for confirming my suspicions and offering a solution.

Hey Error...you might want to check this one out.

How would you go about sealing the boot? Silicone gasket would just tear or rip when the boot would stretch wouldn't it?
