now THAT sir is kewl as hell!!! I think i just found my new desktop wall paper. Do you have a larger version?

Thats the size that I was sent. I'm using it as my wallpaper right now, & it looks great... Pretty eerie, huh...

I think the guy navigating the tanker must have been hitting on the bong a little too long....

GREAT pic!

you know i really dont think ships that big are really affected i think the can just go through or around the storm

If that was the case the Navy wouldnt spend so much time money and energy trying to keep the fleet OUT of the storm.

While ships that large arent as affected by typical waves and normal storms, A hurricane can cause waves so high and rough that they will actually break the ship apart.

Yep. If I recall, there were a few tankers that managed to get into hurricanes and actually did sink.

Trust me...I just spent the week running around the Atlantic with most of the Atlantic Fleet dodging that storm. We are survivable in big seas, but no one goes into a hurricane on a ship on purpose.

Oh, yeah I thought Hurricane Isabell seemed to be a long time ago. THank you for being observant.

I feel like a dumbass

Was wondering who dug this one up...The most recent hurricane to come our way is Alex and he was just a baby hurricane. Barely did anything other than dump a ton of rain.

As this topic is nearly a year old, I imagine he is no longer hosting the image.
