I'm ordering a failsafe and I've heard there more effective with a hump pack. i wa sowndeirng which is the best hump pack for a storm?
 
I'm running a 4-1 (4 cells on bottom and 1 on top) in my storm. Will probably pick up a 3-2 (3 on bottom, 2 on top) as my next one. Just to try different layouts.

One guy at the track actually had a 5-cell flat pack and drilled two holes in the chassis and ran then outside of the bat box in his storm.

As to manufacturer, it is really up to you. Go with the brand that you trust. Currently, I'm running a 5-cell (4-1) Dynamite 1100 mah receiver pack in my storm.

go with the 3-2 if you are just wanting to pop it right in.
 
I made my own 2000mah hump pack
out of 5 AA 2000mah nimh cells.

Fits in MP7.5 radiobox no worries.

Test your radio box with some old AA alkalines to see if you can fit it all in first if you plan to try that though.
 
I would recommend the 3-2. It should be a little easier to fit everything in there. It all fits in there with a 4-1 (including a Venom Fail Safe), but it is snug!

How do u charge these up? on the pics i can't see anywhere where you can charge them just a bit to connect it to the reciever

Just curious... why would you want to do that?

I have a 3-2 hump pack... works out real nice in mine, but I have a PRP Swift, I think the battery box and whole radio box actually is quite a bit bigger than usual. Infact, my pack has TONS of room on that side... thinking of throwing something in there like padding so that it doesn't bounce around too much... think this is a good idea?
 
You would need to have the opposite connector on your charger. This is something that you may have to make a connector for.

Sure, i wouldnt want anything moving around in there things could fall out easier
 
Yeah, I just actually went through some boxes of stuff here at work and snagged some foam packing material that i am going to cut to fit in the box... thinking i will glue a square or rectangle on the bottom and maybe a little on the top so that there is a bit of pressure "holding" the battery pack in when the top is shut... I will of course make sure that both the 4-cell alkaline battery pack (backup for my rechargable hump pack) fits and the hump pack rechargable... they are about the same height anyway.
 
you can buy a on off switch that has a charging jack.. that you can have dangle out of the box a little.. to plug the charger into.. i like it.. cuz you can charge and it wont charge if the switch is on.. so it tells you the car is on

Like uDi-MP7.5, I have a home-made 3-2 pack using 5 x AA cells (1800mAH) in my Swift. I used self adhesive velcro (hook and loop) tape to secure the battery pack to the bottom of the radio box.

My failsafe is velcro'd to the top of the battery pack and I have a piece of loop tape stuck to the radio box lid to cushion the failsafe.
 
Yeah, my failsafe fits perfectly on the reciever side... makes everything nice and snug, so the battery pack is all by itself. I will take a look at that later today and get that going.
