hpi's rotostart on o.s .30

Hi guys just wanted to know if the hpi engines f4.1's rotostart would fit on the O.S .30 I'm curious to see if ill have to buy another one!!! Cuz since the pullstart is so damn hard to get to when i got the rc solution rollcage on, and ill sure damn not gonna get the cage off...its here to stay. OUT with pullstrat and IN with the rotostart. Plus the damn cord from the pullstart rubbed on the cage , the string is about to give out!!! plus my hand is full of watery bubbles LOL SUCKS!!!uke:

We all know about those blisters.
I'm not familiar with that engine, but see if it has the same dog bone type connector as the HPI or if it's a hex. If the hex is the same size as the shaft, you can file off the ball end.

Not sure if the F4.1 is the same(I think it is) but the S.25 will work, just had to file a little clearance on the cover around the header.

There is a version of the OS30 with the direct-bolt-on back plate for the Rotostart. If you have the "non rotostart" version of the OS30, you'll need to replace the backplate and starting shaft... And maybe the one-way bearing. The owners manual for the two engines should contain an exploded diagram and parts listing for all the parts you'll need.

I do have a s-25 engine with a rotostart on it, was it the pullstart back plate you had on the o.s engine or the rotostart backplate to make the s-25 roto fit on it? holy moly i hope that it will work!!!!

Sorry, I don't remember. It wasn't actually mine, it was an EX-friend's engine.
