ok guys, just how good is it? I've got an S25 that ate its rod bushing today. i caught it in time that the piston and sleeve are undamaged and actually have a good amount of pinch left. will they repair or replace this engine, or should i just cut my losses and buy a new mill or repair this one. i figure all it needs is just a rod and wristpin clips and a very good flushing out. this is provided that the crank pin isnt worn of course. the engine probibly has about 3-4 gallons of fuel on it now, but like i said, the piston and sleeve still have great pinch.

so what should i do?

i guess i will, even though i just bought a hotbodies .26 on ebay for $50.

I've never delt with hpi on warrenty but everyone i know that has they have come through.. ou just gotta keep on them and keep pushing.. most of the people that answer the phone dont know much so keep pushing them untill you talk to someone that does or they tell you they will do it..

I've sent a bunch of stuff back to them the first year when my truck was covered and they always replaced my parts. Not sure about an engine though. You would have to send back the entire engine and they will decide if it is covered. They do have an engine upgrade path for the K4.6
