It was late fall early winter when I put her up last year so I really didn't get a chance to put a good tune on her and work out the bugs but I've been thinking very seriously about it. Unfortunately we are getting so much rain, I almost need my kayak to make it to the shed.

That’s insane! Got any pics? I have a 5b, only mods are wheels, tuned pipe and 3 speed upgrade. It costs too much to mess with it further
Unfortunately I no longer have a photo of my ex Baja.. but I will check on the old pc if there is anything left. however I had installed all the existing optional accessories of the most famous brands for this category of big rc.

Upgrading this plastic tensioner to an alloy gpm piece

Cleaned up these two OS max CZ engines today and put a new backplate on the orange one. One of them will be going in the super nitro BUT I’ll probably anodize it a different color

Stripped the orange anodizing off this Cpv tuned pipe and polished it to a mirror shine, then put on a 90° pressure fitting.

Put on Jet motor mounts, did a chrome polish to the oil catch, another 90° pressure fitting for when I add a boost chamber later, and a Kyosho air filter

The car is in the final stretch! Will be adding a boost chamber later and have a OS header on order. After that I can focus on some new servos and horns.

Absolutely stunning. The effort you go to these builds I cannot express in words.

I would love one but I was held up at knife point. Some dude forced me to buy a nitro RS4 Drift. Now I'm stocking up on parts for it.

Cheap and easy DIY brake cam bushing for all belt drive Nitro RS-4s with carbon fiber Y-braces

First grab an old outer bearing from a RS4 axle hub carrier (can also use a bearing from other 1/10 scale cars)

It should look like this, most people have a ton of these lying around

Grab a pick tool and remove both dust shields

Next you’ll want to pop out the bearing cage, it looks like a crown and goes in one way only. Your bearing may differ and have a 2 piece split cage design, but most common is like this one

Now that the cage is out we want to pop out a ball using a very small pick tool (I find a 0.7mm hex works perfect).

Once the first one comes out usually the rest just fall out on their own. Now separate the inner ring from the rest of the pieces as this is the only piece we need

Degrease it and slip it over your brake cam, it should sit pretty flush. Don’t forget to reinstall your linkage to keep your new bushing from falling out

I managed to source a new M-speed cooling head for the CZ, the color matches a lot better to the rest of the build. It actually kind of looks like a 15FE head now

I also added a brand new HPI tuned pipe and header that I got for free from a good friend

I’ve also added a megatech blade style rear swaybar

And a Z-speed belt tensioner

I’m mocking up this rear diffuser and I managed to get it to line up pretty well with the Corvette body

I’ve only been able to some minor work to the car lately. First I started by changing out the colorful titanium screws for regular stainless so it didn’t look so tacky.

Then I refreshed the body mounts, I ditched the long body clips and am using WR8 perches now

Black hardware was added in some areas to look cleaner. I also modified the steering servo mount to drop the servo down closer to the chassis. It now has improved CoG and the steering linkage is more horiztonal

The purple washers above the foam bumper were ditched in favor of these flush fitting mounts
