nc yep thats the one out drives... i have narrowed down the problem... i think one of the plastic cups the holds one of the bearings on the tranny shaft is a bit crooked... or the bearing itself is crooked... so now wen the bearing sits in place it forces the shaft to move crooked... so yeh there is a little play perhaps .5mm all the way around. =/ dunno if i should be forking out for a new 2-speed or wat

where can i get one of those wolfpack 2-speeds?
 
well, i ran my TC3 and I ran my SS. And the jury is back. I still like my SS better. I thought that the TC3 handled better and excellerated better, but know, since I've changed the springs and set all my carb needles where I think they should be, the SS seems to handle as well, if not better, than the TC3. But, I am not an awesome rc driver yet! so don't take my word on that one for sure. but the SS is definatley snapier, quicker, and faster and easier to work on!
 
What are the best first gen Nitro RS4 go-fast parts? Mine has an
os .12 engine and I was wondering what I could do for $100. I don't seem to find things for the Nitro RS4, just RS4 3, so if you have a link that would be helpful too.
 
I ran a 1st gen nitro RS4 for a while. The big issue is the power. I got the RTR with the .15FE which isn't the fastest thing. So a good mill is a must. 2-speed tranny is also a must. Ofna makes one that will fit. There are a few other tweaks that can help. The super chassis by HPI is nice. It's a lot lighter. Turnbuckles. Swaybars. But the first things are the drivetrain. The motor and tranny...
 
What's the top speed right now, and how much power do you think it makes? Also, can I get an OFNA .21 race engine for under
$115? I couldn't find the price on the site.

hey peeps... i tried to reset my low end needle on the ss to factory settings coz i was having a few probs... it says 3 turns out from closed? i can't find closed it just screws in at least 7-8 turns so i didnt screw it anymore. this happen to anyone else or i broken something
 
i just registered today , i have a Supernitro RTR . I love it, so far i am stock , but in may I'm going to a 2 speed and a Team Orion Turbo. still thinking of pipes
 
hey guys.... anyone got any spring/shock oil and tire/insert setups for their cars? I'm trying to find a good starting point... at the moment i have 45wt/40wt fr/rr and stock springs but thinking of going a little harder with springs. the main prob is that coming into a big sweeper off gas with a lot of speed i lose it big time the rear just comes out.
 
Another member here hooked me up with this link, can't remember who, sorry, but it might help you out. I have not messed with my RS4 3 at all this winter, but now that it's starting to warm up I want to start tuning my suspension too. If you find any good combos or something that works well, please let us know.

I'm pretty sure they mean 3 turns out from being screwed all the way in ... try it , do some experimenting
 
i too have a nitro rs4 rtr3 and it was good at first but the engine is slowly dying and i can't do anything to help. The turning and all is good but I'm thinking bout gettting a new engine, tuned pipe, and new body. I have the lambo murcielago body but its not very stable.
any suggestions?

hi guys, i have a type ss two with a lot of modifications, my next step right now is change the engine, pretty sure its gona be the trinity sirio SP12TRPPROT (.12) or maybe the trinity sirio S15-TUP AF (.15) i am sure that bove are strongs engines but i want to know if someone know if the RD Logics 61235R exhaust system fits bove engines or not??

and also if someone can tell somenthing about those engines or anyt other engines, anything.., it would be nice.:smart:
 
I just installed an RB C12 with the turbo button on my SS and I'm liking it. Other than RB (I like the RB X12 Turbo, I should have bought that) there's STS distributed by CRC.
 
Hey, My name is Peter.
I have the type SS and I have it fully modded and it runs around 52mph on a pretty good day. The most I have ever got on it with GPS in 57.2mph. I race it and have had good luck with it. I lowered the head clearence and hogged out the exhaust header manifold.

hey guys i need some advice.., can i put any .15 engine with threaded shaft on the type ss. cuz i am plaining to buy the sirio S15-TUP AF engine.
