RC Driving Style
well i am totally new to this style car but i was wondering if this car is any good for the price i can get it brand new in the box from my lhs for $229.95 rtr and i need to know if this car is fast and how it handles and if theres any problems with this car i plan on keeping the stock motor for now untill i get the hang of on raods then i will upgrade also are upgrades easy to find and is it a 200mm body for this car any thing i didnt think of you can answer too thanx guys me:banana:
 
IMO For 230 dollars its a steal!! I'm running an RS4 3 evo with an os 18 and its a blast!!! I also got this car because of the Stage-D. Otherwise I would go TC3!!

You can Bash both cars just fine but
if u plan to race TC3
if you wanna drift HPI RS4 3 evo

also IMO the HPI mill vs. TC3 Mill.......TC3 Much faster and cleaner running
the hpi mill feels like it can't get the exhaust out fast enought very restricted

9 out of 10 peeps will prob say that the TC3 out handles the RS4 3 on the track but IMO the HPI has a much more accurate and faster responding!!
(a big plus for driftin after a simple conversion!!)

I have one of each in my garage at the moment if u want any pics of anything at all let me know!
 
i will let you now if i end up getting it ok then i will ask for pics and upgrades neede
 
...NTC3 for racing....HPI for bashing...the NTC3 will outhandle it hands down. Its just a better geared car (in reguards to final drive gearing). The ONLY way the nitro3 will beat the ntc3 is if the HPI driver is better. I'm not saying this because i'm an AE fan, quite contrary, I'm a former HPI addict. I just tell the story like it is. Dont get me wrong, its still a very fun, durable car (probably more so than the ntc3)...so have fun

BASHER:N RS4 3 evo
 
I just recently bought a rs4 3 18ss kit for 300 and i like it.. on the downside they can't handle for poop.. atleast mine can't but I'm thinking its just because weight division issues.. the ps broke in the first few days, and the steering is a little wobblely..

with the stock equip, it should handle ok...it's no mugen or serpent or anything, but the car is a great basher. i didn't experience any handling problems with mine, i hope you haven't tweaked your chassis or something. Could just be driving style too. (yes, it does seem "unbalanced", but the fw05, mst3, tg10r mkII have almost the same setup/distribution but they run good :-) good luck with the ride, they're like hondas..alot of parts to hop up and make quick, but'll never pass a corvette z06.
 
I agree to a point.

but put any O.S. 18 in an Evo (rs4) and it is no longer rear heavy. thats the problem I've noticed with the car, It has the tendency to counter steer even when your not trying to, but its only cause the weight of the t-15 throws it around.

I have 3 Rs4 Evo's at the present time.


Quite possibly I'm going to do an EVO shoot out or something.


advantages and disadvantages for certain upgrades and what not... cause it seems the rs4 is the noob car of choice for the semi inteligent people in the world.(compared to hammer racing or any of those ebay special no names)
Ill basically be racing all this summer. I've got 8 people that I've gotten into the hobby.

RS4 SHOOT OUT

Car# 1. almost all aluminum. O.S. 18 CV-RX with slide carb. foam tires.
Car# 2. Stock.. O.S. 18 CV-R with rotary and foam tires.
Car# 3 almost stock with turnbuckels 15 fe, or t-15 and rubbers

Also all my friends cars with assorted combinations.


Ill do this sometime in the next month or so.. I'm waiting for sleeves and my CVRX
