hey guys i just bought a new hpi mt2 3.0 and i was just wondering what you guys think of the g3.0 engine please let me know thanks

I have the older MT2 with the .15 in it (the G3.0 is an .18) and it's plenty of fun. Not as strong as a Savage, but if you are good with the landings it stays together. I have a habit of fudging my landings and breaking the front C-hub screws out of the arms...

You'll have fun with it!

thanks for the info i have heard alot of ppl saying that its not very good no power and breaks easy

I ve killed the crab on one but it was funny trying to get it going when I first got it. new carb and running better than when I got it. I like it it's quick enough for me

It's not always about the power. Sure, we'd all love to have some .30 Collari in our trucks, but if you're just bashing around the speed can't always be used. Gear it right and it'll have plenty of pull...

The MT2 can be a little fragile on the front suspension as I noted. I'm planning on aluminum C-hubs with machine screws and loctite versus the stock plastic with tapping screws that pull out on hard landings and when hitting things (tree roots,etc.)...

The drivetrain is strong, it's easy to tune, and there's still plenty of option parts for it. Like I said, it's a fun little truck when you don't want to drag a huge monster truck along...
