hey i am thinking about getting the hpi mt2 ss. i was just wondering if any of you guys have it. and also if you do have it was it easy to build becuase i dont want it to be hard to build. i no it just came out soo i dont know if you guys have it but just give me some input on this. I'm thinking about getting this and then the airtronics mx-3 for 110 with both servos.

Thanks,
Thomas

P.S Please Post Guys

I purchased the truck off of ebay a few days ago...

should be recieving it before the weekend.

This will be my 4th kit i've assembled...

i did 2 when i was like 13-14...

shouldn't be that hard to put together, just follow the directions, and take your time.

Yes, taking your time is the key element. Sometimes it does get frustrating trying to get little tiny parts together, so just stop what you're doing and take a break. As stated above, follow the directions and you should be just fine. Try to read over the directions before you start to get fimiliarized with it. It is a pretty easy job after you do it a couple times.

hey guys thanks for the posts. cbohl51 when you get it this week end could you tell me after you assemble if there were any hard parts and how long it took you. cuz ill prolly be getting in within a couple weeks. could you just tell me if its worth the buy and everything i would really appreciate. thanks guys

Thomas

Yeah I havent assemble a kit yet thomas but I think you could do it if you take your time and READ ALL THE DIRECTIONS. The question is what are you gonna do?

Yo tom...I'm tellin you to get the rustler :D. Haha na man for real the MT is all you. You are thought to be kinda stupid about mechanics but i dont think thats the case. If i was building it, i would go step by step, reading each step throughouly. As long as you dont force things, it will be hard to make a BAD mistake. If you dont understand something, call the LHS and I'm sure bob could help you. And if you were daring enough to let mr. Drew touch your car, i could help you out when you needed some.

Yea.. i'll let you know...

i was browsing over the regular mt-2 instruction sheets....(http://www.hpiracing.com/instructions/instruct-nmt2.htm)...

even though its an Ready to Run car, they still give you instructions...

rawr....

just got the kit today...

reading over the instructions, very easy... nothing complicated at all.

I probably won't be building until middle of next week cuz my radio isn't gonna get here until monday. :p

cbohl51 just make sure you break in the engine. If not it will cause problems down the road.

^^ oh yea....

fill the tank, run at idle.. let it cool off - repeat

run the car at low to medium throttle for 3 tanks

then after that, its time to tune. :)

cbohl51, could you kindly give me the part number of the purple cone washer on the end of the clutchbell?

hey guys thanks for keeping this thread updated. ill keep you posted when i get my stuff and ill post pics..

AC48, that's not the right washer.

You see a better pic of the washer you linked to here:

Tower Hobbies

That's why I need the part number from the manual, I can't find that part anywhere on HPI parts lists.

Thanks for trying though.

Is the one you need the one you have linked there? Or are you looking for something else? The one you have link to on Tower is #72063, its right on the page.

That's the correct part but in natural finish.

I've already done the entire Tower Hobbies search, the HPI Europe, HPI US, and HPI Japan searches too, all without success.

All that's left now is the manual I think.

Thanks for the help anyway guys.
