looking at getting one of those HPI MT2 18SS+ stadium trucks, just wondering how they go because i know they are a bit 'out dated' with newer models but i can get one brand new for about $330AU so just wondering how they go and if they are quick enough for just for bashing or kind of need a better engine??
thanks:D

I have one and it is pretty fast. My only real gripe is the rear axle carriers tend to break a lot in a tumble. I have been through several before I upgraded to alloys. I put a OS .18TM engine in it and that sucker is a missle. It is like a 4-wheel drive Jato.

The 18SS engine should be fine in it.

I had an older HPI Nitro MT (predecessor to the MT2 and MT2SS). It was fun, but it really needed the upgrades they did to the MT2 to make it more durable.

It was a fun little truck, but was way to fragile to do much with. Arms snapped like crackers, spurs shattered all the time and the chassis was very flexy causing the spur to get chewed up by the bell.

The MT2 is a better built rig and should be fun for some decent off roading.

I've had three MT2s and they are awesome little trucks. Like stated above though, there are a few parts that like to break. Parts for them are super cheap if you can find them. My 18ss had the OS 18 on it as well and I hated to get rid of it. I would buy 3 more if they didn't discontinue them in the states.

thanks for the advice, might get one for xmas hopefully! :D
