I'm looking at buying one of these in the next month or so and was wondering if anyone here had any opinions on them, good or bad.
This will be my first new nitro, I have a HPI RS4 that I got from a guy at work, a nice car but on road is not for me I want something that I can bash and thrash around.

I've heard they are good rigs but parts support isnt all that great i would go with something that has more parts support and more aftermarket parts

Listen to him lol. HPI makes nice rigs but omg parts are getting harder to find for many of the models. The value of many hpi rigs dropped a ton because of this. I have to order overseas to get some parts for my mt truggy. I hear many say the same...

Huggybear: I had both the Nitro & Electric HPI's Bullet's & they both SUCKED BIG TIME FOR ME... I kept having issues with the front drive shafts that came out of front diff to the wheels.. The shafts kept binding up & jamming inside of the wheel hub's just about every time I used the Rig's.. I sent my Nitro bullet in to HPI for repair got my Rig back 5 weeks later & still had the same problem with the darn RIG. I had a hard time getting part's for both Bullets not matter if it was online "out of stock most of the time" or my HS telling me the parts are on back order thru HPI. I got So discussed with both RIG's I threw my Electric Bullet in the GARBAGE The only thing I salvaged out of my Electric bullet was the ESC & Motor I sold that to a friend who needed a ESC & motor for his little bro's Electric Stampede... & my Nitro Rig got totally striped down & the Tires & Wheels where sold / sold the body / & gave the throttle & steering servos to a friend & only kept the bullet's 3.0G Nitro Star engine & the rest of the RIG went into the Trash can as well.... & I will NEVER EVER buy a HPI product again other than Bodies & Tires & Wheels I am now a 100% supporter of TRAXXAS RIGs & proud to say I own 3 Traxxas Rig's now... I know a lot of PPL on RCNT will disagree with me & tell you it was only a fluke bad experience for me.. But I am telling you I had one heck of time with these two RIG's & think there nothing but JUNK & not worth the money.. & HPI support reps can sometimes be a hassle to deal with too....

I'd have to go with maybe a traxxas revo for an alternative. Its tough, parts are cheap and readily available anywhere and it is one fun rig, pretty fast too. Comes in both flavors also, E and nitro. Many slayer parts are compatible with it also so you have plenty of options.

There's two rigs that parts are usually always available for that hpi makes tho and thats the baja and the savage. But anyway if i were you i would get either a revo, t maxx, or savage. You want a mt get a real mt lol. The revo is going to be the most like the bullet tho. And plus there is tons and tons of mods and upgrades for the revo

Ok I've been looking at my LHS website, they have the bullet for $450 a Traxxas T Maxx 2.5 for $520 or T Max 3.3 for $650 which is well out if my budget at the moment... As is the Revo ($750)
