I just bought one, but when I went to put the motor saver air filter in it would not fit because of the idle screw. It's too close to the carb hole. What air filter will fit

thanks

It wil fit you just have to put on the filter first then the zip tie second their thinking was that you would not use a ziptie if it was that close but they were wrong.
I assume its the carb..'
here
Also this makes it clear that Fantom Motors really are cleaned up hpis motors I heard this but after seeing this pos carb its the exact same one that was on my fantom. Needless to say after looking closer at some other HPI motors Fantoms are simply dressed up hpis mills. X

Use a razor and cut just a bit off the airfilter so it can clear the idle screw and fit. Just cut a U around it. Don't cut through the neck of the filter, then you will have problems keeping it on. Just take your time...

A friend of mine has a type ss he has no problems getting the filter on. He does have to squeeze it in between the carb and the needle, but it does fit. Are you using Motor Saver brand filters? If so, which style?
