i was wondering about tuning my engine i have an ifared thermometer
up to 500 degrees i have read that the motor sholdnt go over 250 degrees
but as far as tuning is concerned what would the optimum temperature
be as i was told that this was a good way to tune the engine
yes,no? any help would be appreciated

thanks

Too vague. What are you normal temperatures? Humidity? You are correct when it comes to being under 250 F. That engine only has the HSN and the idle screw. You can add the OS 10 ER carb and you will love it SOOOOOO much better. You can achieve different results playing with gears and also Adding the 2 speed. WHen I had it I had temps in the 230 range using 20% trinity fuel.

i bought the car off of ebay and am still patiently waiting for it
so i dont know what it runs normally it has been run on 20 % fuel
and has the 2 speed trans it has a tuneable duel exhaust pipe as far as the
carb i believe it is stock i am just trying to learn as much as i can before it gets here so i dont tear it up or something i have never owned one of these cars before

thanks

You might want to check out HPIs web site also, they have a complete manual on line. You can either read it on there or print it out. It will explain a lot to you about the car.
