How can you tell if a receiver or transmitter is bad. I put a Tmaxx together hooked up the electronics and nothing worked. I have fresh batterys checked for broken wires and still nothing.

First off, welcome to the forum. :dance:

You'll get more responses to your question if you post in the "Traxxas T Maxx"
section of the forum.
Are you using a Traxxas radio system? In a nutshell,
If you're using the old TQ3 system, you probably have a damaged frequency
crystal. (on Traxxas TQ 27MHz AM radios)

If you're using the TQI 2.4GHz system you probably need to re bind the Tx and Rx.
