Hey everyone.

While my revo is out of action awaiting parts, I thought I might fit the long travel rockers and harder springs to the machine, just for a bit of fun, and mainly out of curiosity. What a pain that turned out to be, and I did not suceed.

I managed to get the rockers off of the vehicle, but the long pole that attaches into the chassis is causing me the grief. I have no idea how I am supposed to seperate the two parts of the rocker, and I am sure that pole has something to do with it.

I looked around for a couple of hours trying to find a guide or walkthrough on how to do this, including looking on the Traxxas site and in the user manual but came up with nothing. Surely this is supposed to be an easy job, considering the long travel rockers are included with the Revo 3.3!

What am I doing wrong here...?

Thanks in advance,
-Brad

Edit: Looking at http://www.traxxas.com/PDF-Library/5309_front.pdf and zooming right in on the rocker, it almost looks as though all I need to do is stop being a sook with the rocker and give it a good pull to separate it - but in saying that I do not want to give that a try until I have heard back from someone with a little more experience on the topic....

Once you've taken the screw out holding the shock and the screw hold holding the push rod, the rockers just pop apart. You can try to gently pry it with a screwdriver... they stick where the bearings are sometimes.

Thanks Olds97_lss.

I thought this would most likely be the case based on the Traxxas diagram - it's good to know that it's OK to proceed :)

Got Travel?

WOW!

Thanks again for your help! :)
