How my day went from bad to absolute sh!t in about 45 minutes.

The day started like any other sunday. Got up around 6am with my son, fed him his bottle and then took a ride in my wife’s truck for fresh bagels. (it has the baby seat in it)

Later in the morning, my wife gets the brainstorm of wanting the kitchen re-painted BEFORE the new baby comes. So being the good husband I said okay and started to prep the kitchen until I noticed all my brushes were missing. After hunting for them for 20 minutes I remember lending them to my sister. So I get in MY car (leaving my wife’s car in the street) and make the 15-minute ride to their house. When I get there, I find all 4 of my purdy brushes completely ruined. She never really cleaned them and they dried with paint in them. Needless to say, I’m pissed since that’s about 60 bucks pissed away. Now on the way home I stop at the home depot, pick out 4 new brushes, make my way to the check out counter only to realize, my wallet is in my WIFE’s truck. Now I’m really pissed. Not only do I need to spend 60 bucks on new brushes, but I also need to make the trip twice since I had no money on me. Here is where my day turned to poop.

As I’m driving into my development a town cop decides to “spot check” me and pulls me over. Well, being a foul mood, and knowing I wasn’t speeding I ask him what I did all snotty. All he says is “license, insurance and registration.” Right there I knew I was screwed. I tell him I left my wallet in the other car but live just around the block. So he takes down some information and heads to his car. 10 minutes later and comes back with 3 tickets. First one is for no seatbelt, and the others were for no user documentation (license and Registration) Well now I’m really pissed since I literally live maybe 250 yards away. So I tell him he’s a prick and drive off. As I’m pulling onto my street I see yet another town cop parked in front of my house. He’s handing my wife (who is 9 months pregnant) a parking ticket since I left the car in the Cul-de-Sac.

So to sum it all up:
$60.00 bucks for new brushes
$45.00 bucks for the seat belt ticket
$130.00 for the no license ticket
$130.00 for the no registration ticket and last but not least
$28.00 bucks for the parking ticket.

Grand tot:
$393.00 in tickets.

And to boot, I still need to paint the damn kitchen

That's like the cops here, amigo. They are never around when you need them, but when you don't, they're right up your hindside.

We've all those days... lol Well, at least you can have the no license/registration tickets dropped. Just got to bring the tickets and your documentation to the precinct..

Plus your sister should have to pay you back for the brushes, She used them it is her responsiblity to clean them. And get them back to you in the same condtion she got them.

i'm not sure about getting the documentation tickets dropped. i got one about 3-4 yrs back for not having my insurance card and they judge upheld the ticket. i ended up paying an extra 35 bucks for the court fees. maybe things are differnt for no insurance...who knows. i'm gonna ask one of the lawyers at work to see what he thinks. fingers crossed.

and my town sucks. the cops are a bunch snot nose punks who's fathers got them jobs. one of them actually tried to give me a ticket for parking in front of my house while i installed a baby seat. he told me i was blocking traffic. I told him to piss off and that we live on a cul-de-sac. there is no traffic here.

I had my own run in this weekend so I feel your pain. You should be able to get the license, registration and insurance dropped. If you are going to court in a local municipality and you think they are playing the "good ol' boy" crap ask for everything to be moved to a state court. I did that in GA when I lived there. Was dealing with this small redneck good ol' boy town with a bullshit ticket, talked to a state trooper that was present in the little tiny courtroom and he told me to just request that the case be sent to state court so I did. As far as yours go, you have everything and it's all documented when you got each (license has an issue date, registration same and insurance usually has an effective date).

Well if it makes you feel any better, My wife asked me to paint, I did find my brushes, and wound up painting a big room.
If you show proof of you info, you should be cleared.

I've had bad days amigo, but yours is definitly worse. Just learn to embrace the SUCK on days like this. Never had a ticket in my life but that has just been dumb luck. If it were my sister, I would be all over her for that, course we don't exactly see eye to eye either.

Every time I think I hear about bad tickets I just think of a local guy. He was speeding doing 110MPH, over 100 is a automatic $1,000 fine, and as he was being pulled over the cop noticed his blinker was broke, another $59, And he did it all in a Construction Zone, Fines Double. So in a 30min timespan he was looking at $2,118 in tickets.

Just remember you flip-out and let it get you down, the Pigs win!

110mph.... in a construction zone?? He deserves to be pulled from the car and kicked a few times..
Maybe he'll think twice next time... dumbass...

My township will not drop the ticket for no paperwork. You are required to carry it with you at all times. This may even be a state-wide law.

Well, at least it wasn't a School Zone, the cop might have shot him for that.

I ahve never heard of a staet where you can't show proof in like 10 days and get the fines dropped. Now you might still have the ticket on your record and there will be no fines.

Danm that sucks, sorry to hear that. Thats way to early in the week for things to go wrong. Hopefully things will get better.

yeah...it was a bad day. one that i'll just chalk up and move on. I
talked to one of the lawyers at work and he tells me getting the no documentation tickets dropped will be tough. Towns look at them as "free money" since you ARE required to carry them. Best I can hope for is to talk to the ADA or on duty violations clerk and plea down to just 1 ticket. Going to do that tomorrowand see whats they say.
