Hi guys,

I have a brand new Associated RC8T truggy kit (Factory Team). Here is the link for the truggy:

http://www.rc10.com/ae/rc8t/rc8t_home.htm

It is in brand new condition, never used, all I did was assemble it with the exception of a few parts that have to be dropped in at the time of servo istallation. I bought it a few months ago with the hopes of dropping in an engine and electronics but with an unforseen situation that came up I won't be able to enjoy it so I'm looking to sell it. I still have the box, manuals, sticker sheet, clear body and everything that came with the kit in brand new condition including receipt. In addition I bought Pro-line truggy tires which I mounted on the wheeles (these don't come with the kit). I'm wondering what I could sell this truggy for? I'd like to list it or sell it to a hobby store for re-sale but have no idea what I should be expecting to get for it. I don't want to overprice it nor get ripped off in the deal. Could someone suggest a reasonable asking price? Thanks in advance!

Since it is new never ran with extras.....$350? I would say it's kinda fair. They go for around $400 NIB.

400 is a good price. I have not looked lately, but they were around 500 @ Christmas time.

It's extremely doubtful that a hobby shop would buy it, since it's no longer what came in the box, and they have to guarantee it.
Since you don't qualify on this site, you won't be able to sell it here, either.
Your best bet is to try to sell it privately or put it on Ebay with a reserve.

Yeah I think you are right....I don't know why I was thinking he had the electric. So your price would be a lot closer. Sigh.....been one of those days...lol! Those are really nice rigs for sure. Couple things I am not super fond of though....the chassis braces and the stand-up steering servo. Other than that it looks real nice.

They drive great and the center diff mount makes maintenance easier. I've got a line on one for around 250 I have been considering.

I am sure they do drive great. Pretty much most of what AE puts out will be good stuff. They have been in the car RC business longer than just about anyone.

Thanks guys. Considering your advice I'm going to post it locally on a buy and sell website and see what happens.
