hi guys

i just got a new os12tz 3port engine in my g4.
at my local shop they only sell 16%nitro-14%oil and 25%nitro-9%oil fuel

what do u guys think its best.
would the 25% make a huge difference in the engine's life?

16/14, you engines life will be extended with less performance.
25/9 you will have much more power, with less engine life.

What brand fuel will you be running?

I would see if you can get 20/12 (trinity monster horse power) from the web. Thats a good combo for power and good life.

umn ya.. would like to order it. but i live in holland. they only ship it trough ground service. would take a month to get here.
i can't wait!!! that LONGGG!!! :wtf: :)

oh and the fuel brand is "tornado"

would the extra 9% nitro and the lower %oil change the life of the engine dramaticly?

Well if your running more nitro to less oil, then i would think it would run a harder but that's less oil to keep that baby lubed,I'm not really sure what the engine life is for those engines but here is the recomendation for the .12TZ 3 port

Fuel: 10%-30% nitro (recommend starting w/20% changing to a higher
nitro content if necessary) w/18% lubricant

so i can imagine 9% oil won't be that great for that motor,if there recomending 18%oil at 30%nitro,that's almost 10% less than what they recomend if your using 25% nitro. If i were you,i would search for better fuel, that's a nice motor,i wouldn't wanna shorten the life of it more than you have to.

Most europeans run 25%. It will shorten the life of your mill, but if you keep it a tad on the rich side you won't have any probems. OS makes a good engine.

Kaaaaablaaaammm

I like 45-65% but I have a machine shop :flamer: I norm use 30% for racing You want to run a little higer % for high alt. or if you want to incress your top end a little you can use a higher % and add a head shim or two IMPORTANT!!! make sure on the fuel you get has at least 12% oil and always keep it out of the sun and sealed

I run 25% and I don't see any performance loos from 30%...I'm starting to look at lube additives as well....my pit partner runs 25% w/ some more oil added and he gets unreal usage from his mills......and is one of the local top guns to beat......hey if it works for him why not try it......
