So guys how many gallons have you guys run on one engine, the most you have on one engine? So far i have 2 and i take care of it. I just want to see the most you guys have got on an engine and what temps were you running. Thanks!!!

I have a OS Max 15CV and I have ran close to 2 gallons through it. It runs at norm temps when I run 20% in it, but when I run 30% it runs alot cooler.

I have the stock savage engine (.21BB) that has 5 gallons through it, runs fine. Just put a picco .26 in for more fun got a gallon in that. Run Traxxas top fuel 20%

Pee Wee

stock hpi evo just 1 quart but whne i got vacation form school this weeks i think i should hit just about 2 quarts through

I stopped counting how many gallons I run through each one. I have 3 nitro powered trucks and when one is broken I run the others and so forth. Total between the 3 is 15 gallons or so within the past year of running.

Like El Pirata, I have also lost track of the numbers through each engine. I have about the same through two engines. So, I guess that is about 7 gallons through each.

It really doesn't matter what kind of engine you have it matters how you take care of it break it in and how you run it.

Ok... still want to know.

I'm up to 7 on an 15 OS engine. Just seeing what they have and if they run 21's. I have my first 21 and only have a couple gallons through it. A friend of mine had his exact same engine blow up at < 1 gallon. We typically tune the same way shooting for no more than 240 temps and we both run the same fuel. We still don't know what happened.

I've gotten 8+ on a well maintained .15 touring engine with NO loss of compression. I still have that engine in my garage and it purs like a female pee pee cat..hehe. Regardless of proper matinence, some engines are overall better quality then others. I wouldn't expect to be able to run more then 4 gallons or so from an aggresively ported racing engine but it's possible.

Use afterrun oil or ATF fluid (the idea is that it burns off) after EVERY day or bashing or racing. Clean your air filter (properly) as much as it needs it and ALWAYS use proper air filter oil when running on sand. The smallest particles of dirt can seriously shorten engine life.

EDIT - Also, always lube up your engine bearing/s with afterrun oil or a quality lube. I've lost engine in the past to bearing breakage.

Peace

I am running a Fantom .15 in my T-Maxx and a Hyper 21 8-Port by Ofna in my Savage.

The key to success is the break in followed by regular maintenance. If you take good care of your engine, it will take good care of you. ARO periodically applied works wonders. Proper tuning helps. Good fuel. Good pre- and post- run checks to make certain everything is nice and tight helps keep things running well.

I think my record is about 1.5-2 gallons on a single engine...I think that was with my novarossi cx12...it was with mostly 30% fuel...I gave the engine away.
