1.) How do you make sure the piston is at the bottom of the stroke by turning the flywheel while the engine is off? When i do it i hear some gurgling and it gets real tight at one point during the rotation. 2.) Also on the rc10 gt's fuel tank isn't there a fuel filter installed on the tank? 3.) And last What happens if you spill nitro 20% on a hot motor during a refill? With this cool whether i just been letting it run for a while just refilling? I have always wondered what would happen?
Thanks for any advice or input!

1) That tightness and gurgling is a sign you are close to top dead center. Once it pops over that, you have just passed top dead center. Make a light mark on the flywheel when the crank is there at TDC. Then when the engine stops, make sure that mark is at the bottom, thus bottom dead center.
2) Not sure about the fuel filter. When I had my GT I thought I remember a stone filter in the tank.
3) I wouldn't worry too much about the fuel. It won't really burst into flames or anything. The thing to watch out for is that it will flash cool the head and block for a moment. But I haven't heard of any damage coming from a little spill on the engine.

Just take the glowplug out and turn SLOWLY while looking in the hole, find BDC and mark it on your flywheel.

My RC10 Had a stone filter, but I canned that tank and bought the new factory version, witch has a recepticle for the stone filter, but no filter- Put one in the fuel line for good measure.

Just what CandyMan said, the block should be fine, will prpbably sizzle, but not burst into flames or anything. Just keep the fuel off of any electronics and you will be fine.

When installing the additional filter on your fuel line, get one of the larger ones with a stone filter. It does a better job than the mesh screen ones. Dynamite Big Daddy is the one many folks on here use.

All AE tanks have a stone filter in them.. i just bought a new one for my GT last week and it has one in it...
