i am looking at the savage as one of my trucks to get for the summer, its between the sav. and the new MGT from associated. i have an hpi supernitro and its really easy to work on because everything is easily accessible, but I'm wondering what its like to work on the savage being that the chassis setup is so much different from the SN. are the electronics cluttered at all . or is everthing pretty easy to get too ? is it hard to take apart and put back together ? mostly what I'm looking for out of the truck (whichever i pick) to be easy to work with and very durable . I've heard the savage is indestructable for the most part. which is good, i tend to break things thanks

This truck is easy to dismantle and rebuild. As for the electronics, the servo/receiver tray leaves a lot to be desired. It is not user friendly when it comes time to remove/replace servos, but it does provide a little protection for the servos,

All around the Savage is well constructed and ready to handle whatever abuse you can think up.

I agree 100% with SkyMaxx the truck is awsome until I have to recharge my reciever battery pack, It's a pain to get out.

I mean no disrespect here, but how can you vote against a truck that isn't out yet??? I think Associated has earned a wait and see on this truck. I know that there are others on this forum who are waiting for the AE before going with the savage, and I personally think that is smart, but what the hell do I know?

I'm glad to hear that they are so tough , because i beat them hard (trucks i mean) ... I'm still waiting till the mgt is out , but I'm looking for info on the savage still

Nothing...

:spit: .........:jk:
I'm getting a job in the summer-around 30 days. And If i get 450 bucks before the MGT comes out...Savage it is. The T-Maxx is way outta my list. My LHS currently has a 100000000person wait list, towerhobbies is on backorder for another month, and the savage order for both my lhs and TH comes in end of April. But usually AE takes alotta time to come out with kits. But that is time well spent.

why is it that all the hobby shops are out or very close to being out of these trucks ( the savage and t-maxx ). i mean why does it take soooooooooo long to get more in?

Because they are very popular trucks. The T-Maxx was basically the MT king of the hill for the past two or three years. Now, Savage is a great challenger and has the potential to knock the T-Maxx off its perch.

The demand has way outpaced the supply.
