In general you'll want to keep your temps somewhere in the 220-250 F zone. That's just a rough guide, but that should keep it running strong while keeping it from wearing too fast.

i have a big block 28. as well and thats the same temp i keep that at... dont u think that being that the touring car engine is smaller it should be kept at a lesser temp?
