warning newb ??? I have yet to find an area big enough but, while playing with my duratrash i discoverd it had a second gear lol heres the problem by the time it engages its so far away i can''t see it and its going so fast i can't controll it. how far can they go away from you. I am also having a problem with the truck wanting to sit there and do 360's when you give it the gas. my stering servo doesn't seem to be turning as hard one way as the other, and my camber and other type settings are all messed up. any help on getting servo back to neutal spot and on putting the camber and tire angles correctly. thanks

Have a friend hold it while you turn the wheels back and forth with your radio. Walk away while continuing to turn them. Have your friend let you know when they quit responding.

Once you find your range, only go half that distance while operating your RC. Keep in mind that that the weaker your batteries get the shorter the distance your radio will transmit.

hey i have never heard of that i will do that and see how it does. i usually dont go too far anywayz so i dont think that it matters.

I have never gone out of site of my car and I have never had a problem with good batteries. Once your Radio starts beeping or the batteries in you car dies then the range is shortened alot!

any ideas on how I can get my car to stop spinning or to stop pullling, one other problem i am having is that my tires can be squezzed and air comes out. is this bad or norm and if its not norm how do i glue them back

ya i know, i have only had my t-maxx run away once because the reciver batteries died!! it wasn't a pretty site but it got back to working order.

Your supposed to have holes on the inside of the rim to let the air in the tire fluctuate. I did seal my paddle tires are tight because I planned on hydroplanning with them and a wet inner foam doesn't balance well at all!

Duratrash??

ok, we got another one with my personal favorite truck sooooooo, #1- your a-arms should sit level when the trash is on la-ground drop it from about 18" off the ground then see where they are, adj. shock springs till level, #2- "caster-camber" the 4 ball sockets on each end of the a-arms that hold the hubs on, take off the wheel, see the big black plastic pivot ball nuts? loosen em bout 2 turns, adj. caster-camber using a hex wrench in the socket, re-tighten the pivot ball nuts just snug then back off 1/4-1/2 turns, i tighten mine 1 at a time till the a-arms wont move by themselfs then back off 1 at a time till my travel is smooth up & down, you want the tires (front & rear) to just lean inwards on the bottom just a tad with the arms level #3 "toe-in, adj. the turnbuckles on the front & rear so the tires are slightly pointing inwards towards each other when looking from front to rear at about 6 feet, remember these adj. are with the a-arms level! i adj. my shocks so the rear sits higher in the rear when idle cause my 24.7 bottoms those guys on take off. I had the same thing happen with my steering servo, i had some 90oz torq hightec servos & took the metal gears out of the Duratrac servo, put em in the hightec, noooooooo prob-bob, hightec makes a 945 high torq servo-metal gear thats good, if yours only turns 1-way chances are the pot is gone (tells the motor which way to turn) the only gear you have to center is the servo arm gear on it you'll see a notch or finger, have this nub pointing straight out looking at the front of the servo (the servo arm end) Dura??? tires are to hard even with no inserts, Imex makes a "jumbo Maxx tire thats 5-1/2"wide-6-1/4"high & sssssoooooft, i also used the IMEX extra deep diamond rims cause there made for each other & look baaaaaaaad, you'll have to get 4-Duratrac t-Max wheel adapters & 2 "front" dogbones cause the adapters have universal joints like the front hubs on the Duratrac. distance?? how-ya-gonna drive something ya can't see! with a Hightec LYNX-3d radio i got mine out bout 250yds & didn't want to walk that far if it died so i came in. 2nd gear is adj, mine shifts bout 30mph & it'll do 60+ with my ported 24.7, almost forgot, after adj. everything count the threads on all the turnbuckles, ball ends, gettin the opiset side same part-- same # of threads lets ya know your in the ball-park, later

Duratrac T.Q. tires dont have inserts so i fill em with water then everytime i hit a bump in the dirt the wheels are "self cleaning":wtf:

Robie6,
I'm not to sure but I THINK you have some good info in your last post. The issue is no one can read it with out passing out.

That has got to be the longest run on sentence in the history of RCNT. Have you ever heard of Capital letters, Periods, Comas, and Paragraphs? PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE USE THEM.

Nothing is worse than someone that has something good to say but no one wants to read it because it gives them a headache.
I'm not saying it needs to be perfect but please try.

Thanks,
Ed

spelling 101

Geez Fast Ed, (coma) I wasn't aware that may be a problem, (coma) but if it is, (coma) you can bet I'll do better next time. (period) It's not my fault, (coma) I bought this keyboard at a mexican swap-meet, (coma) used for $1.18+my umbrella hat I was wearing, (coma) some of the keys are stuck (I think its taco juice) + I sent my sister a email & when she got it it was in spanish. (period) I have another one (1) though, (coma) somewhere, (coma) Its the real new one (1) Logitech came out with thats all rubber so you can roll it up & take it with you, (coma) like on a flight. (period) Problem is when I got it & tried it out I got this one (1) & it's teaching me spanish so I rolled the rubber one (1) up & put it somplace but that was 2 months ago & I can't find it. (period) I'm going right now & look. (period) :sorry: :mex:

I counted 5 sentences. (period, not COMMA) Maybe if, instead of pausing with a comma, use a period. (period) How about after every complete thought place a period at the end of it. (one thought)

Well for me thats pretty far, I got big feet :D You know what big feet mean? Big socks :cheeky:
