Hey guys like the title says how do i make the front tires spin faster than the back? also how do you build shocks with internal springs? Thanks!

Why would you want the front tires to spin faster that the back? That would lead to all kinds of problems but if you are just dying to do it anyways the only thing I can think of is that you would have to have a smaller ring gear in the front diff ( I think ). Or the really easy way to do this would be to just use bigger tires on the front. I still wouldn't recommend doing this.

If your running a MOA then its easy to do, just gotta create a little stall for the back. I have my stall down to almost nothing but the rear does stall just enough to be very handy.

For the shocks, just get some internal springs... Then remove the cap, put the spring in, and replace the cap....Unless you want droop, then you need to take the piston out and put the spring under it.

Ok thanks! But what is a moa?

The reason I ask about making them a bit faster is i see some guys do it an I think it could come in very handy. Thanks again guys!

Moter on/over axle. You prolly see guys with moa's, bergs, bully's, moa losi's doing it. When you switch to a moa rig using only one esc, the stall is, alot of the time, very bad and you have to do alot of things to tone it down to very little stall.

Those springs look cool, just one question will they fit in the traxxas big bore shocks or are they to long? Thanks!

they should fit fine.

Its a deal you wire in to replace the esc's stock bec, then you program it to like 6v for example so your servo gets the full voltage it needs.

To make the front wheels spin faster then the rear on your rig you will need to get under drive gears for the rear axle with is what I run http://www.rcpcrawlers.com/product.php?productid=1420&cat=29&page=1 or there is a over drive set you can put in the front https://www.tcscrawlers.com/Axial-R...-for-Axial-AX10-Scorpion-AX30401-p-17253.html , either way the front will spin faster then the rear, you might also look into a faster motor that will give you a little more wheel speed over all like the Integy 35t motor they can be found for around $20 http://www.rcplanet.com/Integy_Matrix_Pro_Lathe_Motor_p/intscm3501.htm this is the only thing integy makes that i would put in your crawler, doing this will make it easier to make sharper turns and help to get rid of torque twist.

Good post Curtis. I forgot you can do that with the axials. Pretty cool really, works like alittle bit of stall on a moa.

Thank you! What motor do you run in yours?

He's running a 35t integy.

Yes I am thanks for getting that answer to him Lloyd, I also run it on a 3s LiPo battery so it has plenty of wheel speed when I need it, but still has really good low speed control and torque. but you do have to be careful or it can get away from you in a hurry.:D

Your running a rooster arent you Revoracer? So you will only be on 2s if you run lipo, so a 35t is definatly something you will want for some wheel speed. If you get a chance to step up to a mamba or sidewinder or HH, then you can go to 3s wich is like night and day over 2s....Or, with the HH (and mamba, even though it doesn't say you can) you can go to 4s for some crazy power!

Yeah I just have a rooster. lol, Does anyone run the goat brushless system? is it worth 200?

also right now i just run a 1500 mah saddle pack because lipos seem kinda complicated ? plus dont they need a special charger?

Thanks guys!

They are not complicated. They kinda seem like they are until you get into them then you see that they are better by 100x! In my opinion. Yes they need a lipo charger/balanacer but you can get a cheap one for like $20 and they a couple lipo's for around the same price and be set. Plus they take up let room and weigh less too. Win win win.

And no, the goat isnt work $200 imo and brushless kinda sucks in these unless your running a losi comp that kinda needs one. Stick to brushed.

For your rooster, heres some good small 2s packs. Pick up a few of these since the mah is low but the foot print is also low, so is the price thought so you can get a few to keep you going for a good amount of time.

These will fit on the front axle too with a new servo/battery plate.

Id get like 3 or 4 if you can, their less than $7 apiece. Shipping kinda sucks though.

man those are cheap. so do I need a new charger? an about how long do you think those will last per charge? Thanks again for all the help!
